117/6 this is getting very interesting,
so much for Crawley's moan about not getting the 50/50 decisions, 2 umpires calls this morning going with England.

I'm going to engage Grumpy Old Man mode and say entertaining it is, Test cricket it isn't.

18 wickets in 3.5 sessions. You have a point.

I er, don't think that's what he was talking about. More like the quickfire/painstakingly slow third umpire, depending on which team is impacted by it.

Good job we went in with 3 quicks and an allrounder then.
Joe gets five, India lead by 33
Session 4 and we're about to start the 3rd innings. Either both teams can't bat, or the wicket isn't fit for purpose

Not even a partnership. An hour and a bit of Stokes swinging the bat.

Farcical. Crawley bowled first ball.

Jonny BIG BRAINS Bairstow with a ludicrous swipe, 0-2. He really is thick as mince. Genuinely fucking stupid. But he's so stupid he reviews everything, and this time he's actually right. 0-1
Then he's bowled next ball.

One slung in quick by a left-arm spinner turns almost square as it explodes off the surface, spraying dirt everywhere - strangely, the commentators DON'T yell "it's not the pitch!" this time. The massive wankers.

Root just survives one that turns and bounces almost straight up, gloves it almost to a fielder.

Indian fans booing a review going in their favour, after it was given out on the field - erm
Sibley gone, 19-3.

Why is Root going back to the spinners. Has he got money on being given out LBW? And Sibley goes caught behind.

Your question is kinda answered by the post you quoted. When it's bouncing that much, LBW is less likely, getting caught close in is much more likely. Can't play it down / get your hands out of the way if you press forward. He's not doing it to every ball or anything, but he'd have been out if he'd played forward that one.

Ashwin to Stokes - slings one down to leg stump, it bounces and turns so much it passes the bat by a foot.

Genuinely think that England can win this.
Obviously these two at the crease can change the game within 10 overs. Any chase over 100 is going to be tough on this pitch.

Stokes is doing the right thing. One player needs to take the chance of pinch hitting and 5-10 overs of luck could decide the game.

100%. 50s each for these two and we win.

India's batting isn't that solid either - so this partnership could be the winning of the game.

That's out for me. Root (stupidly .... because umpire would have heard it) said to Stokes he did not hit it.
