anyway hard to see a win then a trip to Scotland we could lose the lot, if we a get battered up front then we're in a world of shit, hope the boys prove me wrong.
Bizarre. The well known phrase or saying is "Who cares as long as it's healthy?".
Do me a favour, A fucking gender reveal what if through his dumb actions he infected other team members, it has NOTHING to do with the health of a baby, the fact remains most of us are staying away from group gatherings, why should he be any different.
Admittedly I was a bit terse but we agree really.

Seems Ball bare knuckled AWJ into oblivion, probably the only reason Rowlands will be adding to his welsh caps

So AWJ is picking the team now as well.

We're going to get badly beaten today. Then up to Scotland

Everything is shaping up for a Irish win, could be the end of Pivac if we win just one game (Italy), sounds as he's gonna play a more conservative game plan, he will know his time with Wales will revolve around this game, really hope the boys can do it but its not looking good.and the game hasn't even started.

I hadn't realised that Ball isn't even on the bench, I can understand if he's a bit miffed about it. The Times has R Jones as LHP sub - do they mean R Carre or R Evans?

Carre's shit and humphreys cannot get out of him what Gats could, Smith may be injured, the only other choice is Domachowski, who is by a long way the best scrummaging LH Wales have had in a fair while, but Pivac doesn't like him after he ate the turks on toast.

Checked it, yes, Rhodri, Wyn and Carre are the LH options, my god...

We could feasibly see a team of Carre, Elias, Brown, Hill, Row(eng)lands, Macwhothefuck, Lydiate, Wainwright, Hardy, Sheedy, Amos, Johnny English, Nickynackynoo, 1p and the captain of the swansea riot club with this squad.

The man must go, there's some polynesians smoking joints on street corners waiting for him.

I'm trying to think of a time when a Turk coaching set up was promoted to the top job that went to shit.

On the plus side when Pivac is fired the replacement won't come from the regions.

On the assumption Lydiate, LRZ, Tomos and Johnny average are injured that leaves us with

15 Sanjay
14 Feck knows
13 North
12 Tomkins or Watkin
11 your guess is as good as mine
10 should be Jarrod but won't be
9 Cawdor

Sanjay

Amos
Biggar
Cawdor

Ah, ok. I saw him still on a couple of minutes later but he was still clutching it. I also thought I saw Biggar on the pitch after Sheedy came on. Perhaps my eyes deceived me.

Positives: Scrum - Wyn Jones and Tomas Francis did a good job and Francis' tackle count in particular was outstanding.
We put some game time into the legs of the returning players, Alun Wyn, Ken, Josh Navidi.
Gethin's defence looks more like the Edwards defence.
Beard's maul defence.

Negatives: Injuries, lineout, wingers are still largely ornamental. Amos and Rees-Zammit had 4 touches apiece according to ESPN. That did include a try....but it tells you something about how little possession we're getting and the quality of it that we're not able to involve our wingers.

We're still spending a huge amount of time without the ball...against 14 men...at home.

Why did Gareth Davies kick that ball away?

Why did Dee not get on? When a coach won't sub a guy on, in a game where the forwards have got through so much work, and the other hooker's lineout wasn't stellar, what does it say? Also, he left Rees-Zammit on with what looked like a nasty wrist injury, which I would have understood to some extent had we had no subs, but again, seems odd.

I'm of course pleased with the win, but it's not looking great right now....

I thought Alan Wyn had a great game after looking a bit creaky the last few outings. Also Navidi looked great.

In the backs I liked Tomkins and North did pretty well.

I was quite shocked how bad Biggar was though, looked really out of sorts.

Dee unused. I appreciate that subbing off Rees-Zammit for a hooker might have left us exposed...but not sure how effective LRZ would have been tackling with one arm either. Stick Dee in the backrow and put Tipuric out on the wing if need be, but when Wales made that many tackles to have a sub unused in the forwards is odd for me.

We had so little ball that Biggar probably deserves, if not a pass, then a certain amount of slack. I'd certainly like to see what we'd look like with Jarrod having a chance to settle into the 10 shirt. We're not suddenly going to become NZ with a change of 10, but I think it would be a significantly more difficult prospect to defend against us, especially with lumps like Johnny Williams and George North outside him.

Such a shame Anscombe's been injured all this time.

If Pivac is not going to choose a more attacking 10, and Johnny Williams is out, how about a call up for Willis Halaholo? He'd certainly add something different to the mix.

Am I right in remembering that Ireland got their try after we lost another line out? With a competent line out we win that reasonably comfortably don’t we? I know that’s shades of if my auntie had bollox she’d be my uncle but please don’t deny me a straw to cling to.

You brought Owens in to shore up the scrum but then the lineout went to sh*t. So, you are correct but seemingly only hypothetically.

The other thing that bothers me about Gareth Davies kicking the ball away (apart from the complete lack of situational awareness) was the fact he chose to kick rather than run a decent opportunity. Ignore the context (if you can, I know it's hard - painfully stupid as it was) and as he comes off the scrum he's got men outside him (Biggar and Halfpenny), Navidi inside with Faletau just behind him. The Irish have 2 players, Gibson-Park and Larmour (I think), ahead of him so already he's got options. If he runs at Gibson-Park to stick him then it should be a simple pass either way to open the Irish up, and leave them bearing down on the 22 with numbers and mainly just Keenan coming across to cover. Not a guaranteed try but a great opportunity with some simple hands.

If that was the first minute rather than the 81st, and we weren't fixated on the contextual stupidity, and the poor execution of the kick, we might have been more critical of the more general inability to play what's ahead of him.
