It is a rare condition, but the COVID-19 virus has been linked with myocarditis with a higher frequency than other viruses, based on limited studies and anecdotal evidence since the start of the pandemic.

The concern has "made the bar higher" for returning to fall sports, said Dr. Jonathan Drezner, director of the University of Washington Medicine Center for Sports Cardiology and a sports medicine physician who advises the NCAA on cardiac issues, "and it could be we don't get there."

Leaders in Bolton are pleading with the government NOT to lift local restrictions tomorrow.

A row in Trafford erupted after the council asked for restrictions to stay in place - only for Mr Hancock to announce otherwise.

Deaths in private homes are still occurring above average levels. Since week ending 26 July, there have been more excess non-COVID-19 deaths in private homes than #COVID19 deaths in all settings.

On the subject of “the normal flu season”, I think there’s a good chance we don’t have a bad one. Assuming most people use sensible Covid precautions, that must have a significant impact on normal flu transmission rates.

On the subject of “the normal flu season”, I think there’s a good chance we don’t have a bad one. Assuming most people use sensible Covid precautions, that must have a significant impact on normal flu transmission rates.

I posted somewhere (either bored) a couple of days ago that flu hospitalisations in NZ dropped from 6500 last year to just over 200 this year.
