Interesting that Glasgow have some of the Scotland 1's back very early (Fagerson, Darge and Jones) but Edinburgh holding a few back.

One of them came in when Muncaster did his knee in training. I don't know anything about either of them except Neild was with Glasgow briefly last season.

BigD, aye, I suppose it's because it's Leinster at home, Glasgow have gone 6/2 as well.

I suppose they've been training for a long time, but it's odd to start these guys and leave Crosbie on the bench, they have to show his level of fizzy cavity if they are to justify being selected in front of him.

Was Nield not name checked by Everit recently?

Who is Edmunds? Is Scott at FB the Scott you lads were raving about at 10?

Edmunds ex Scotland Sevens from Boroughmuir, big, fast and absurdly powerful.

Scott is the saem chap, and I had not realised he was on a pro contract.

All the Super 6 guys that stepped up were sent back to the clubs with barely any feedback.

Women doing okay against US, wings the main difference 17-7 at HT, but the loosehead prop is possibly the laziest player I've ever seen.

Thats a bit shit, they need to be giving advice to these guys which will filter down.

I had not realised the Super 6 teams are not allowed to bring in more players even if they have no fit players in a position. Apart from front rows, if they have enough players to put out a team, that's what gets used regardless of players out of position. Hence Jake Kerr playing flank.

Looks like he wants to be here for the long term. I like the youth policy but it doesn't really square with what was said above.

Depressingly bad.

Okay we’re missing an international pack and our back three, but we have to better than this across the squad

There's still senior players on the pitch who should be showing up.

This is genuinely awful. There’s 8 Scotland players in the team, for all that half of them have had very few minutes, and we are getting schooled by the Dragons, FGS. Beaten up up front and sliced open at the back. For all that the last few minutes have been slightly better, every single attacking opportunity has been butchered by unforced errors. It’s a tough watch.

14-3 and it could be a whole lot worse.

Don't know why they didn't try with the lineout drive in the corner there - they're getting turned over at the breakdown too easily so why risk hitting the midfield?

Oh, FFS. Huge maul, penalty advantage, fizzles out. Kick to the corner, lose the lineout.

Edit: it actually got worse. Maul looked to be going over, then pushed back 10m, ball turned over. Wake the F up!

Second edit: saved from an interception score by a really dodgy knock-on decision.

Honestly. I couldn’t believe what happened with the maul there. It had momentum, it was clearly going over the line. Then suddenly the back half splits off, is shunted back half a mile, and Dragons get the scrum. That would probably have been 14-10 and anyone’s game. Instead, we were incredibly fortunate not to go in 21-3 down.

It probably is familiar, but I didn’t have Viaplay last season and this season I do. So I’ve had less exposure.

I was thinking I'd like to see Healy attack the line a bit, was looking at bit static most of the time up until now. Edinburgh really don't deserve to be this close.

That's a really good win, clawing back into the game and into the lead whilst not playing well is something we haven't done for, well, since when?

FML. At half time I went to see what my wife was doing, and ended up helping her with it and missed the second half. And Edinburgh won the game.

If you guys have a whip-round to cover what I paid for my Viaplay sub for the year (think it was about £45) then I promise not to watch another minute of Edinburgh in the URC for the rest of the season…

Showed a bit of baws to get back into it. Didn't think they looked too bad from 60 on, more aggressive. Boyle made a difference at the breakdown.

Huge difference. Edinburgh were losing the gainline battle all the way through the first half but Boyle made a couple of great turnovers that stopped any Dragons momentum. I thought the replacement props were much better than the Dragons replacements too.

Agreed (I’ve just watched the second half back now). Boyle made a huge difference at the breakdown. Generally Edinburgh in the last 20 were miles ahead of where they had been in the first 60. The Dragons still butchered a couple of decent chances though. Overall, a vastly unconvincing display from Embra, but it’s an away win and I’d have bitten your hand off for that at HT. Healy deservedly MoM.

It was a good game. I thought Redpath was excellent. Finn's offload for the first Bath score was about as good as you'll see and I thought he generally played pretty well. But he also made some sloppy errors. Will be interesting to see if Bath keep going with playing a big lump at 12.
