He's always good for a defensive brainfart a game.

French player carried that out in goal. That's an England scrum isn't it?

Thought there was a foot in touch there. Still, poor defence and Dupont is a class above

Dont think England will get ahead again.

This French side is ridiculous

My heart is beating fast. What a game. We’ll regret not scoring a second time when we had them under the cosh

Did anyone keep count of how many times Dupont touched the ball from the start of the match to his try?

I reckon it must have been at least 10 times in the 80 seconds.

Incredibly influential player.

What’s their fitness like?

This game must have the highest ‘in play’ time of any game I’ve seen in years.

This is proper rugby.

Some of the England tackling is pretty average.

Ridiculous game. Hardly a set piece in it. Hard to pick a winner so far if the English forwards have enough in the tank.

England looking competent going forward. Who knew that passing the ball to players coming at pace makes things happen?

Fun game. France look good, better than England but we're keeping up and at least trying to play some rugby. Our try was quite lovely.

I think those long lineouts into midfield should be banned, btw. They currently offer almost impossible to defend gainline possession, and rob the lineout itself of any contest for possession. It's not reffed properly - there's been some effort to make sure defences stay back ten until the lineout is over, but attacking teams are allowed to do what they want. Fickou was level with Dupont when that ball passed the 15 - impossible to contest.

What makes you weirdoes think the English aren't enjoying this? It's probably the best we've played for a year, and it's an open and exciting game.

We’re four points down to the best team in the tournament having conceded after a minute and could/should be ahead. Excellent game and good entertainment

Curry has been superb for England. Ford very good, Watson also. Not a game for the tight 5 do far.

Defensively soft not making the hard hits.

Better composed in the last 20

Unlucky penalty though. Malins was wrapped in the tackle, tackler never released and then played the ball for good measure.

We have to be more clinical given how excellent France’s attack is. All defence is desperate

Nice game, lots of running and passing, but......there’s always someone ready to kick away good attacking positions unnecessarily :bimbo:
