Much as tonight's performance has cheered me up a bit, there's no escaping the fact that Argentina's win last week was far more significant for both countries.

This is not a whine, just a talking point.
I can't find anything from google on the situation Lavanini found himself in. He committed a yellow card offence, no question, he didn't retreat ten or to his own line before making the tackle, but since it was after the knock on and wasn't dirty or violent, I thought the card should have been overturned.
Any play after the knock on is chalked off, as per the try.
Can anyone point to the specific situation here and show why the card stood?
This is just a point of interest for me, I'm not really disputing it as such.

I didn’t actually see it myself, but anyone defending Lavinini is on the wrong side of history.
Pretty sure a yellow card (foul play) infringement reverses a knock on. Whistle not blown at that point.
