Good on you for diving in. Crusaders man, eh? Lovely boy, lovely boy.
**WHY YOU SHOULD MOVE TO THIS BOARD**
From the perspective of SEO... stopping lurkers doesn't stop the content still being seen by Google?
Plus checking now... there is still a link to the forum from the homepage.. did they change their mind?

Always had ads? Since I've always used ad blockers, I've never seen them but PR's techies are so sh*te, I can't believe they'd got around u-block or ad-block. So you should be okay if you want to keep posting there.

I'm using Vivaldi which has its own adblocker so can't see all those ads. If only it blocked the 75%+ of shitposts too
Spiders will still see the content even if it isnt linked from the homepage.
What will be killing the score will be a lack of new/original content. The huge threads will also impact the numbers too as that is seen as old content.
Which doesn't really explain why they stopped guests seeing content? Don't they want any new posters?ASMO wrote: ↑Sat Mar 05, 2022 3:51 pmSpiders will still see the content even if it isnt linked from the homepage.

The thing that strikes me as dodgy is the number of guests viewing the forum. It’s been way out of proportion for weeks.
I've only ever had the banner ads and I don't use any add blockers on my phone. Now it's a disaster with an add in virtually every post.Torquemada 1420 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 05, 2022 1:04 pmAlways had ads? No phone expert so can't be sure if DuckDuckGo browser might help you there.Blackmac wrote: ↑Sat Mar 05, 2022 8:54 pmI've only ever had the banner ads and I don't use any add blockers on my phone. Lads, I love a lot of the posters who have moved here. Certainly the more sensible ones I've engaged with outside the Irish crowd but this place is glacial. There's literally no ability to have a conversation. Like a proper one where people engage over the course of a day. That's what made PR great.
PR looks to be ruined currently with it also being glacial. Pretty sure it's the first time ever outside Christmas and maybe NH summer where there's a last post on the main page from yesterday.
So if this place is going to take the best of PR, there needs to be engagement, but it's no lifeboat or alternative currently. It's a quiet bar where you might see an old friend for a brief chat, if you're lucky.

When Asmo got this place up and running I tried to straddle both for quite a while but I ended up staying with PR because it was faster moving... until I just got too annoyed with the state of the place about a month ago, perhaps. Since then it seems to have deteriorated further from all reports and the log in to read thing is laughable...CM11 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 05, 2022 11:52 pm Lads, I love a lot of the posters who have moved here. anyway, the only thing that will speed this place up is posting more, without going full D'oh Xi. In the meantime, the slower pace is something of a reminder perhaps, that a more mellow style or pace is ok.

Have you noticed, by the way... and this is definitely part of the Bay of Plenty Experience, that where you have speed restrictions on extended stretches of open highway due to roadworks which are unattended on weekends and outside of normal working hours... in other words, safe to roll through at slightly higher than posted speed restrictions, the long line of traffic that always forms will be headed by a small hatchback which is often silver grey in colour?
Probably driven by my father-in-law (not that he’s in the BOP). He’s the only person I know who has been pulled over and ticketed for driving too slowly.Guy Smiley wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 1:28 amThey're automatically included as part of the experience.Jb1981 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 1:22 amWith a discount for seniors?Guy Smiley wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 1:00 am

It's the brief part that's the bad thing. The last comment on the last thread on page one is from last Tuesday (by you actually). It's not really a chat forum.Uncle fester wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 1:43 pmYou say it like it's a bad thing.CM11 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 05, 2022 11:52 pm Lads, I love a lot of the posters who have moved here. My stinging rebuke of Jake on PR made it wise to check my credentials were still valid on here.

Pr is too Irish and racist now even for me, when I do go on there it’s merely in response to some Irish bigotry. It’s utter gash now compared to what it used to be.CM11 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 05, 2022 11:52 pm Lads, I love a lot of the posters who have moved here. This place doesn’t seem too glacial to me, but I don’t post that often, just glance at kiwias tits threads mostly.
....and then fuck off some more.
Thanks

This thread went downhill fast.
........as does just about every thread that Yeeb joins in on PR..
He appears to think he's amusing, but is about as funny as treading in a large wet turd
