Heading to Normandy on ferry in July. Staying 3 nights in Caen and then 7 nights near Granville.
Plan on making a trip to Falaise and the very nice castle when in Caen. What's the best/most efficient way to do the WWII stuff with a 9 year old in tow?
Other castles that are must see?
Pegasus Bridge is a must if you’re in Caen . I think the same family still own the cafe there.
Arromanches with the remains of the Mulberry harbour and museum also worthwhile.
We also visited the museum at Bayeux which I was less impressed by.
I really enjoyed just touring round the coastline and seeing what the countryside was like

Also well worth taking the trip to Pointe du Hoc.
