Exciting finish, suspect that pen seals it

There’s starting to be a shift in momentum in Italian rugby, these guys coming into the senior set up with belief will make a big difference to their fortunes over the next few years

The more I think about it the more I'm astonished that AWJ allowed a 6N game to essentially be his own testimonial. He shouldn't have played, the pre match was all about him and it clearly contributed to a Wales team that weren't up for it.
Your kids come onto the pitch afterwards, he had a game of rugby to win.
Piss poor, never been the biggest fan of the man but staggered anyone would allow that to happen.

Agreed I’m afraid but I’d have hoped that once the team is on the pitch all the pre-match stuff gets forgotten.Paddington Bear wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 5:34 pm The more I think about it the more I'm astonished that AWJ allowed a 6N game to essentially be his own testimonial. Wales lost three matches they could and should have won.
And yet I am still utterrly despondent about Welsh rugby.
It makes it all worse, knowing that we should or could have won, not better.
I would rather be on the recieving end of a walloping like in the first game, against the Irish.
But hey, we picked a lot of new players. Learned a lot about the new forwards coming through. Given international experience to lotsa new players.
Still despondent though.
I don't think any sport or a team can keep you enthralled all your life.
Next 6 games are going behind a paywall. Won't see wales play for another 12 Months.
A lot can happen in a year.

The man they call sausage!!
Something I did notice watching the game back is that Brace is talking to the Italian players in Italian, sure it's only the odd word like "Fuorigioco!" and "Via!" but I don't think I've seen a ref doing that before
