Nice to see Van Poortfliet start again.

Conceding that after Tigers' first entry to their 22 having certainly isn't ging to help their mentality.

I felt just about safe enough to say that considering the 26 point margin in the favour of Tigers.

LaR show why they have no chance. Abject stuff to scrape by against a 2nd string down to 14 men.

It's a moot point what difference them trying would make given the current state of the club.

Er, not entirely sure what Leicester were about there, but they've been saved from their fannying around by their absurdly small in goal area.

Wonder what Jones would do if Borthwick played Van Poortvfliet in front of Youngs.

Bollocks Kelly's hamstring gone and Scott on.

He's already been picking Newcastle's reserve hooker on the bench, I don't think the most capped England player and until very recently unequivocal first choice is going anywhere for having been demoted to the bench at club level.

Youngs is the third best 9 at Leicester. Although I'm not familiar with their academy 9s so he might be fourth or even fifth best.

Quite a sloppy half from Tigers overall, but they've such a big aggregate cushion they can be forgiven a little lack of urgency and precision.

Other than Healey being a Tigers' cheerleader, I can see why they're talking mitigation because some officials would use the simultaneous impact upon body and head to argue low force or danger and give a yellow.

I'm happy for that to be deemed a red, but because of the whinging that led to changing the framework, we've arrived in a much less certain place with more inconsistency which prompts more debate over sanctions.

I don't see the point in splitting hairs over whether he hit the shoulder a millisecond before hitting him in the head. A very big bloke decided to smash someone without bothering to bend and drop the tackle height, and hit him hard in the head. Should always be a red.

Me neither, I think we should go back to them all being reds and a few of them maybe looking a bit harsh.

Given the uncertainty that's been sown this seasn with yellows for fairly serious looking hits, I can understand why there's more discussion over whether the right card has come out. Expectations have been changed.

They had 13 themselves when the red card happened, and were already miles behind.

It was two players yellow carded for an overlapping period.

Mola obviously has a hard on for thickos playing at 14.

Have you just awoken from a coma? The two cards are perfectly consistent with the last decade or so of reffing.

You might want to have a look at the Steve Thompson thread before commenting further.

And both of those offences have been text book yellow cards for ages.

Was in its arse. Nothing malicious about it. Accidental and should have been a penalty only.
