I actually welcome this measure. Tired to seeing people with masks around their chins or noses poking out...breathing all over the items in the store.

They started night shift last week to catch up on the hours lost during stage 5 and 4. Also an opportunity for the 50% staff to earn some pay. That's foked now. "Sorry boet, you just have to sit at home a bit longer and hope the UIF pays out"

I'm pretty sure I heard the Prez say the curfew does not apply to those traveling to or from work during curfew hours.

I wasn't assigned to "night shift" so it does not effect me. The shift was from 17.00 to 22.00 and the company called it off citing the curfew as reason. Don't know if there's any other reasons for it but generally night shifts are not common in the industry, or let me say it does not exist under normal circumstances. They decided to implement this "night shift" because they had a lot of warranty/contract work that needed to be done as it was over it's due date and therefore going out of contract. Also because 50% of the staff was sitting at home not getting payed.

thank goodness none of my guests partying at our test run braai tonight had a car accident. Got to get rid of the old stock.

So this arrogant doos comes right out the line to go forward of me and another African dude...the African dude indicates the line to this guy by pointing to it.
So the dude gets all huffety and puffety and you could clearly see that he was that racist type that was going to take issue with a black man telling him to get into line.
I immediately stepped between the two and looked the angry dude in the eye and pointed to the line showing him where he must stand....vokken doos knew better and oblidged...I reckon I saved him some grief .
If that African dude didn't hit him I would have.....

In a Toti mall I saw a looooong line of black people waiting for a cash point, leaving the obligatory 3m gap between front of line and the person using it. For a laugh, I just walked right behind the person using the machine with something in my hand as if it was a bank card - waited for a count of 1-2-3 and then turned round to them all and went “lol, tricked you !” In my best pommie accent.
Luckily I read the room right and there was much hilarity, reckon I was a second or two away from either a polite ‘excuse me sir, queue is here’ or I would have been shot or stabbed.
Think I was a bit drunk actually, but did clarify it was a joke as I wandered off.
