Just finished The Boys season 2. It's ace.
Some sneaky misdirection in there but the characters are too much fun to worry.

Not new but binged both series of Wayward Pines last week.
Not what I expected at all and very good.
Shame season 3 didn't happen
I enjoyed it as well, had some good premise.
Just finished Gangs of London, absolutely enjoyed it, fantastic show.
I see Mandalorian season 2 starts 30th October

Netflix - Beer and blood. Not worth it, had to finish the series but constantly kept skipping forward with one eye on the IPL. All a bit contrived, trying too hard to get a kind of Peaky Blinders atmosphere going, in German.

Cobra Kai - good, cheesy, 80s throwback fun. Slightly more engaging than expected but basically a kids show with some swearing. Wouldn’t recommend - but I’m enjoying it.

Star Trek Discovery series 3 just started on Netflix.
Watched first episode late last night - need to try again as either too distracted or it's a bit meh

I only lasted 2 episodes of the first season.
Did it get better?
No, no it didn’t

Really? It looks upsettingly po-faced and devoid of spectacle from the trailer.
The characters should be an opportunity for Dr Strange style alt-dimensional/magical weirdness and Damon in particular is wry, smart aleck in most of the stuff I've read.

they always do a hash job of major comic characters on TV ..i didn't enjoy the 2 other marvel tv shows either (cloak and dagger and runaways) but i hope they do justice to Ghostrider TV show..thats next in the pipeline

Again, trailer put me off C & D. I did watch some of Runaways, but dropped it pretty quick. It completely missed the tone of the comics. Daredevil and Punisher remain the best small screen Marvel adaptations so far.

yeah Netlfix did a better job but ABC freeform and Hulu really don't care about Marvel comics, they just want a 'filler'.. its a shame , atleast 2 good "pilots" related to Marvel got cancelled, they would have been more entertaining than CD/Runaways .....i think Amazon did well with The Boys even though its not marvel..even DC's doom and Titans are top notch whenever i hear Freeform or Hulu want to do a comic show, i cringe..

I was distracted by the sudden appearance of Senator Clay Davis. Going to him for a favour, sheeeit.

Just watched the first episode of Truth Seekers, and I was not expecting that! Really good. Not going to go into it any further, but definitely watching the 2nd.

Just finished The Haunting of Bly Manor.
Started like a cheesy haunted house story, but developed into quite the psychological thriller with a very unpredictable ending. Quote enjoyable.

Is anyone else trying “Barbarians” on Netflix? It’s German and Latin, with subtitles, of course.
Is setting up to tell the story of the big battle that helped keep the Roman Empire from conquering what would become Germany.
The history behind it is interesting, and I want to get to that big battle, which is briefly teased in an opening scene.
But three episodes in, it’s a bit average.

Watched the 1st episode of Gangs of London last night, I'm hooked.
I thought the same, but it is absolute bollocks and the lead character is appallingly bad.

It gets worse. Especially the final battle.

It's ok, but definately a lot of artistic licence used, cross between Rome and Spartacus, with less tits and minge.

Wee bit late to the party but just watched the first episode of Generation Kill. Wasn't really gripped by it, worth continuing with?
Nothing really happens. It’s just a bunch of grunts driving around for about 10 episodes with any killing actually happening only about every third one. I’m sure it’s true to war/real, but it’s dull.
I'm not needing full on contacts but the characters just don't interest me. I'm not expecting to be invested in them within one episode but BoB and Pacific had me hooked from the off.
I thought it was absolutely superb and a brilliant portrayal of the conflict. The final episode is magnificent.

Quoting myself, deal with it. Just watched the 2nd episode, and I'm loving it. Suspense, comedy, emotional stuff. Would recommend to all.
