Whats all this about playing our home games at Twickenham?

Sacrilege! The income from hosting a match at Twickenham – albeit not at full capacity – would be fundamental in helping the Welsh Rugby Union in a year where huge losses are expected. Likewise, the Rugby Football Union will also benefit from this move.

Strange times call for strange measures with our stadium (I can't say the P word) on NHS standby.

I know, I just can't muster the anger considering the state of things right now. This is the sort of thing that really deflates the welsh rugby post count....and I apologise for my part in it.The Druid wrote: Wed Jul 15, 2020 9:48 amYou are right of course, just posted as a talking point.penguin wrote: Wed Jul 15, 2020 9:37 amMeh, if it keeps welsh rugby afloat financially then I'm in.The Druid wrote: Wed Jul 15, 2020 9:34 am Whats all this about playing our home games at Twickenham?

The Dragon’s Heart Hospital at the Principality Stadium has been cleared of patients and won't be receiving any more in the near future.
The 1,500-bed field hospital has been downgraded to standby status but will remain available for now in case another wave of coronavirus sweeps through Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
It means there are no immediate plans for the stadium to be turned back into a venue that can host rugby matches.

If that's the case then off to Wembley/Twickers Wales go, I mean where the fudge else is there anywhere that can accommodate the "crowds"?

I watched that game upstairs on my small portable TV with my then 6 month old son fast asleep ( he was teething at the time). The only thing I could do was wimper when Scott scored. I'd go with that. Put that "West is best" shite to an end. Fudge, I forgot about Adams!penguin wrote: Thu Jul 16, 2020 9:35 am Much as I rate Ashton - I think you have to have Adams there.
Backrow is probably the hardest call - I'd say Wainwright, Jenkins, Navidi.

The backrow is a killer and you could argue for about 6 combinations there
You know, I don't mind that the east of our wonderful country is at last producing some talent and looks likely that it may be catching up the west, but having to combine two teams to try to take on the mighty Scarlets is so sad, now if I was to combine the Ospreys into it you wouldn't have a hope. Even that one eyed Cardiff fan The Flier says the Ospreys have got the best squad in Wales, so come on boys, see sense.
I don't know what to make of this article, I think the Dragons are ok going for Jamie Roberts if their financial backers are footing the bill, but it seems the other regions aren't happy if it's WRU money they're using.

You mean the Scarlets team that have lost to the Dragons the last couple of times they've played them? The Ospreys may have the best squad but with a mix of the Scarlets dragging them back it should equal out!Turkster wrote: Thu Jul 16, 2020 11:33 am You know, I don't mind that the east of our wonderful country is at last producing some talent and looks likely that it may be catching up the west, but having to combine two teams to try to take on the mighty Scarlets is so sad, now if I was to combine the Ospreys into it you wouldn't have a hope. Weird that everyone's talking about East V West, Wales online has just put up an article on that very thing, and yes my post was just a wind-up, you eastie's have got very good teams and the balance of power has definitely shifted that way.
