Wasps team is up
Blackett said 4 likely matchday 23 guys were being kept out by covid precautions/test failure. I'm chalking Feikitoa up to injury rather than that, though don't know for sure, so would put the absentees as:
McKintyre
Brookes
Shields
Barbeary
Still looks very strong, though. As an aside, what a wild ride for Morris if he gets on. Very much a decent squad player with lots of more talented guys ahead of him, but he might get to play in a Prem final! Probably didn't think about that possibility while toiling in the Championship.

I'd have taken basically anyone but Carley over cmk.
Oh well. If, and it's a big if, we can get him pinging going off feet, he's stubborn enough to not let it go even if it keeps happening.

Give a man a fire and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.
Without being overly precious it’s a bit of a disgrace really. Very little time for that behaviour

Game called off according to the Mail. Probably for the best. You just know someone was going to do an ACL in this farce
Just hope they name and shame them, we are quick to slam chavballers when they do it, the same lens must be pointed at us now.Margin__Walker wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 1:19 pm Game called off according to the Mail. Probably for the best. You just know someone was going to do an ACL in this farce

It certainly feels like that at times.
Is that incident the last time a disciplinary panel rescinded a red card? I can't say any other nstances spring to mind.
Match off!!!JM2K6 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 2:02 pmThe fact that some of the named players are pretty level headed and there's so many who've done it suggests some communication fuckup somewhere along the line.
There were in fact 2 breaches
That’s the one. He’s never gotten over it.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 1:56 pmIt certainly feels like that at times.

I'd say that's being generous. They've just spent 3 months in bubbles with their clubs, they know the bloody score.JM2K6 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 2:02 pmThe fact that some of the named players are pretty level headed and there's so many who've done it suggests some communication fuckup somewhere along the line.

Yep. Turns out the earlier breach without any isolation of the involved players effectively compromised the whole bubble, leaving the Baa-Baas down the whole squad and all coaching staff.
Those bar stewards!! I’ll be put to work on the leaves in the garden now. 10 lashes apiece is too good for em.
Seriously, how stupid can these guys be. One of the worse things is I bet one of the clowns uses this as an after dinner story on a paid appearance at some point.

Absobloodylutlely! Even if someone in authority said it would be okay, surely they should have enough nouse to query that.Slick wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 2:32 pmI'd say that's being generous. They've just spent 3 months in bubbles with their clubs, they know the bloody score.
Stupid or don’t give a fuck. Either way they are hugely diminished in my opinion.

Exeter's team
Very strong. Their back row vs. the Wasps trio will be fascinating. It's a bunch of carriers without much ground game vs. the premier scroungers in the league.

Wet and windy is definitely not our preferred meteorological conditions.

Will take that. Felt a little like a make up pen for not penalising Ewers a couple of phases earlier.
Big test now with Exter going to the corner.

Pleased by the way the scrum seems to be holding up so far.

Errors making the difference at the moment. Otherwise well matched.
Does look like we're edgining the scrum at the moment.

Were world rugby not going to do something about the catepillar ruck? The 3 person long one looks absurd.
Refs shouldn't give them the time to add all the players.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 5:45 pm Were world rugby not going to do something about the catepillar ruck? The 3 person long one looks absurd.

I reckon the weather has something of a leveller, Exeter's power game gets subdued when they don't have certainty of handling.

Should've taken the scrum from that advantage rather than playing it out. Decent field position and tying in a lot of defenders.

Oh no, Spidercam is out of action! How will we get a view of the top of a scrum without any reference to the rest of the pitch and players now?
