That was possibly the most miserable I have ever left a rugby match (and that’s really saying something)

Vowed never to go to go to another Wales v Scotland match ever again !

And somehow I find myself Cardiff bound in a couple of weeks time 🙄
My first (and probably only) trip to Cardiff was the one when Hogg got sent off and it finished 51-3 to Wales. That will take some beating.
Also notable for being the only time I've fought with a man in a wheelchair as well
Please, do go on...

Shocking luck for the lad. He never seems to get a good run at it.

😂 stormed out as they scored and this guy in a wheelchair started screaming “wanker” At me over and over, then as I went past stuck his arm out to trip me. I turned around and he bloody punched me, so I punched him back. The good news was that as I kept going up the strairs all the Welshies were saying “he deserved that”.

Not my finest moment, but far from the most bizarre event in Cardiff on rugby weekend

Word on the street is that Graham and Paterson are both out for the 6N. Paterson would appear to be less of an issue, until I heard who was in the discussion to be called up. Stop and think about how many SQ back three players not already in the squad are still standing.

The only ones I can think of would be Maitland, Jaco WDW (out of position), Ross Thompson (out of position) or maybe Hoyland (is he still playing somewhere)?

Surely the reality though is kinghorn is first choice, Hastings or one of the wings is second choice and whomever they bring in is there to hold a tackle bag?
Edit:Jones in the pecking order too.

There was some Welsh based lad (Beetham?) Toonie was apparently looking at too?

Just thinking though, playing at 15 for Glasgow and Edinburgh tonight are Boffeli and McKay neither of whom are (currently in McKay’s case) eligible. This is what happens when you only have two pro teams and neither has a first choice in a position who is Scottish. Poor management from the SRU.

Edinburgh are cuffing Scarlets 5 - 26.

Cherry got a yellow for not coming back round to the back of the ruck and Gilchrist got a very unlucky one because the tackled player kind of bounced up and hit him in the face.

If Edinburgh lose from here all is truly lost.

Boff took a brilliant high ball - daylight robbery type of thing and passed to Duhan who ran it in for a terrific score

Luke Crosbie looks for all the world like a number 8, he is carrying the ball back with real venom and making big metres after impact.
Good lineout option too

Scarlets are really quite pish. The few fans in the stadium don't seem too happy about it either.

Agreed, they are pish, we really need to beat them in the league in a few weeks, that is more important than this game, hopefully we'll have Darcy and Bennett back for that

The failing is the pipeline.

Edinburgh just sold the current international 15. Glasgow have his understudy injured, Hogg has retired comparatively young, McLean had played a game or 2 for the 20s at 15 but is now a convicted criminal.

Looking at previous under 20 squads, is Dan King ready to step up (I've no idea). Gourlay is going nowhere fast at Tigers I think?

There were a couple of years there where I was absolutely clear what was a red card and could call it correctly almost every time.

This year, for whatever reason, things have definitely changed. That should have been a stick on red but apparently no longer is. I don’t understand why.

Not wanting to take away anything from Caeredin’s performance but Scarlets really are awful.

They are. Despite being allowed to dive off feet & in at the side regularly. Butchered a few chances in attack too.

Just realised it was Alex Craig who should have got the red.

I thought she applied the framework to her interpretation correctly?

Head on head and not a high degree of danger (her belief) is a yellow IIRC.

For some reason I can’t reply to your post bigd.

The degree of danger is direct vs indirect and high vs low force. It was clearly direct and it was high enough force to split his cheek open. I think she said it was an absorbing tackle but the Craig accelerated upward into Skinner’s face. I don’t agree with her interpretation.

If it's technical yellows (offside etc) then there are no repercussions, for foul play they will review it

I was bemused with the call of clear head contact, looked head to shoulder to me. Admittedly I wasn’t watching very closely though. I’ve lost interest this half.

I know we are getting better results so far this season, but I miss the swashbuckling days of Mike Blair's first season as coach and Kinghorn at 10.
That side would have put sixty on this shower.

Bit of a bizarre end to the game there.
