It was a fine enough win, but there were some problems in the attack.
Argentina next who squeezed past Romania 17-24, they will prove a much tougher test.

I cannot see that Wales team beating any team, that can up the intensity, like Argentina.
Gave away way too many penalties.
Shocking to think the last time Wales lost to Canada, was the game Rupert StJB Moon sent the entire side down blind alleys all game long and Canada were just waiting for them.
Remember that shit?

United Rugby Championship: Live televised games return to BBC Cymru Wales.
Friday night rugby will return to BBC Cymru Wales after a free-to-air television deal was announced with the new United Rugby Championship (URC) competition.
In Wales for the next four years, BBC and S4C will broadcast 75% of live games involving the four Welsh regions.
BBC Sport Wales will show 18 live games per season, one in each round in the primary Friday slot of 19:35.

Thing about Wales is the whole is greater than the sum of its parts pretty much every year, so i wouldnt write them off being contenders.

Scraps of comfort - Cardiff might well have beaten Harlequins with a competent scrum and the starting Scarlets front row coped with the Bristol one, which included Stinckler. Just struck me - I don't think Rob Evans was in the 23 nor in the Wales squad. Is he broken or out of favour?

Not that Wales are ever short of opensides but Tommy Reffell is having a very decent season for Leicester.

So a few more options in 2 weeks time with Toby Adams and Willis back. Any news on Navidi?
Can't see a win against England but it's going to be close.

100% line out and scrum - where did that come from? Mind you Scotland had the same according to the ST.

It seems the Scots are not bothered with a match thread.
Do you think they realise that there is a game today?

We do catch all threads on here.

The influx of Irish interlopers from the other place is the reason they have a dedicated match thread.

Until last Saturday I was feeling half-optimistic after a few wins in Europe. Sod that now, we’re going to get thrashed.

I’m excited by the selections in the pack, time to start blooding the new guard. I don’t mind what the results might be, we are long - LONG - overdue an absolute tuning from the Scots and I’d just like to get the young players and combos blooded ahead of the World Cup.

Thought my last ban was indefinite when I checked yesterday, seems its all down.
All a bit sobering and shit, our inability to turn the screw when we had the advantage did it for us, had we nailed that try instead of biggar biggaring I think we'd have gone on and won, but biggar biggared.
I'd gladly load the team with ball players and athletes and be enternatined if not victorious, our performances are the same as they were in 2017, were just losing now

I thought we really missed the likes of JD2 yesterday. A line-up of Hawkins, North and Dyer never looked convincing. Desperately needed some quality and experience at OC to marshall them.

So shit or bust for Welsh rugby on Sunday. Will the WRU prevail and get the 75% majority they need or will the 250+ club blazers decide to keep evrything as it is?
It is no exaggeration to say the entire future of Welsh rugby is at stake in Port Talbot this Sunday morning. “You sense it is a significant moment in our history,” confirms Ieuan Evans, chairman of the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) and a former national captain, as he awaits the critical vote which will determine if the sport in Wales can step back from the abyss. “We love a watershed in Wales, we have them every fortnight.”

Henry Thomas has been selected for the "enlarged" Wales RWC training squad
Currently playing at Montpellier and won the last of his England caps in 2014.
An odd one as he would not qualify as a 25 cap exception in playing outside Wales after the RWC

He hasn't been capped so I think it would be ok.
Or he is lined up to go to a region.
Or some other random loophole.
Fuck knows
