I have mentioned it before, but Clermont home support were a byword for noise and fanaticism. That seems to have dropped with the teams fortunes. But wherever they play, their support follow. I remember them playing an HEC Final in Edinburgh. They essentially took over the city.

150 to Cape Town is impressive.

A complete aside, but Edinburgh are sold out for Saracens, and are well on the way to a sell out for the Sharks next week. The main stand only has single tickets left.
Jouba use to play for them and visited them last week.

We've seen a huge shift in this in the last 2 seasons, maybe with Edwards' work filtering down. LaR have been the leaders but even LOU brutalised the Bulls in contact this w/e. Some of the same with Brive against fancied Cardiff even.

Definite hunger to make shots that often didn't exist in the past.

Not sure Fekitoa is a good option for Munster in a game like this given his defensive frailties.

The one thing Ntamack is good at: he's not an easy option for oppos to run into in the 10 channel.

Which one?

Pau are poor at best but this is a 2nd team. The only player you'd watch is the former U21 hooker, Ruffenach.

No 1/2 backs on the bench for ST so stuck with Ntamack. I'd get Jelonch off and Cros on.

They knew they had to weather the storm during the 1st half, & stay in touch, & they worked the clock very well

I guess I should be pleased when it was always the Fre sides blowing out of their arses and slowing it all down.

Carbury's missed kicks cost Munster the game; justifying not having him in the Ireland squad.

I didn't think Healys offence justified the YC I agreed with the comms, it was a penalty, & nothing more.

FM. If Ntamack plays in the 6N, he'll just cripple the ntl backline (again) as he does week in, week out for his club.

Not for me. He led with the forearm/elbow. Had it not struck the chest (and it was the very top) first but, instead, gone direct to throat or head, it would have been red. So yellow seemed about right. The players know the laws now and the focus on this stuff and if they choose to continue to ignore it, then can't complain if it results in bad outcomes for them.

Not that we in any way deserve to make the KOs. And even if we do it'll be a 40pt tanking at Leinster.
Job done.
8 of 8 URC

Teams through to round of 16
Really good to see teams from 6 nations getting through to the knockout stage. 5 English, 3 French, 3 Irish, 3 South African, 1 Welsh, 1 Scottish. Should make for some very interesting match ups. Although it's hard to see past Leinster lifting the Trophy.

Bit harsh. He was good otherwise. Being dropped from the Ireland squad might turn out to be the best thing for him.
