Actually very low. Probably due to the high winds and no sun…. Ffs

USA could probably do with reconsidering throwing long and losing every lineout

It’s a shame they haven’t opened up the ends of the stadium to local schools or club’s juniors

USA looking the best side they’ve played so far, very abrasive.
There seems to be a surprisingly large and vocal US section of the crowd.
OBL is such a beast. Very excited about him.

Discipline has been a problem for our side during this, and the only reason this is only 17 nil is because of us getting pinged. We need to tighten up, not just expect to win this.

McConnell is the blindside - he's already ruffled a few feathers training with Edinburgh if the stories are true, bruised a few shoulders and egos of full internationals up front.

I’m a bit concerned by how effectively the USA rush defence has stopped our backs game.

I hate to do this, but our scrum half has been at fault a few times, chucking balls to the first receiver which has made them have to jump to catch it, it kills the momentum and allows the defence to reset
He has been excellent in previous games

Yeah, let’s go the other way then.
The US hooker (teeerrrriible hair aside) looks a fantastic player in the loose.

OBL and JBL (official nomenclature btw, I have decided) both suffering with cramp. They’re 25 points up with 15 minutes to play, why haven’t the coaches made changes?

I think we are just standing too deep and doing everything so far being the gain line it’s easy to defend.

The replacement tighthead, Norrie, was injured just before the last game, the guy who was called up hasn't played yet,
edit, Shearer is on now

Lost a try at the death there (fantastic kick and collect by the USA) but a thoroughly professional performance otherwise. Is that us back up to the big table again?

Good, they did all that was asked of them, unbeaten and scoring over 300 points in four games.
Some of these guys are going to be very good.

Job done. Some of them are excellent but we have to be careful hyping to many of them, the difference between this level and the big cup is immense. We’ll see how good these boys really are in the U20 6N next year. Hopefully they are competitive.

The pertinent question was asked regarding who will still be there, OBL, Douglas and Currie are the only starters from the pack who will be in the next 6N, I think, and that is where the U20s is won and lost.

Great result and tournament from the young guys. Some good prospects incoming. If I'm honest I think this competition is more important than winning in the U20s 6Ns. Staying in the top level at age group is critical to get these guys big games every summer. Delighted for them although it's a bit of a pity that most of them won't get to play in an U20 World Cup.

I hadn't realised there would be that much turnover into the 6N. That seems, once again, like poor preparation. We had two hit-outs against far weaker opposition. I do hope the majority of those played in at least one of those games will be those playing in the 6N?

That's not a realistic ambition. Being broadly competitive and not getting scudded by Ireland, England and France plus winning one or both of Italy and Wales is a very tough ambition in itself.

Thoroughly enjoyable tournament throughout, some very good games they were still competitive even with the high scores in the pool games. Was really pleased for the Netherlands lads I was chatting to a couple of them after the second round and they were nice guys.

I did think that in Glasgow's run to the home final under Rennie that Steyn was the obvious 13 for Scotland going forward. Maybe toonie is just getting some muscle memory incase we need to move him there with a 6-2 bench split.
