What is the benefit of playing Steyn at 13 over the two on the bench who can play there?
Yeah I don't get it either. The odd match for him there, who we know can play there, doesn't seem more beneficial to the squad development over playing the newer lads. Also, should be developing Dobie as an international 9 rather than a winger over Paterson .

I did think that in Glasgow's run to the home final under Rennie that Steyn was the obvious 13 for Scotland going forward. Maybe toonie is just getting some muscle memory incase we need to move him there with a 6-2 bench split.
Is that really any more valuable than giving more time to the 25 year old with 3 caps who is probably the guy who might start in November should one of Huwipulotu go down?

I'm with you, I'd have played McDowell and Currie. Just guessing that's the reason he's picked Steyn at 13.

I see a few of our lads won the U20 World Cup today, I do hope they make it to full international level.

Is the Chile match in TV ... of some sort.

I did notice that the England captain sports the quintessentially English name of Finn Carnduff.

Fraser Brown? I’m loving what he is saying but his delivery could do with some work.

I didn't see quite how far back the stands were and as such how large the stadium is.

Good pass Healy.
Is that Dobie’s first Scotland try? I know it’s ‘only’ chile but a wee bit of celebration is okay.

Ewen Johnson hitting rucks like only a man who has spent the majority of his career in D2 can.
Oops, decent try there Chile.

I haven’t seen any of the other summer tour games, has the TMO been told to keep quiet or is this just quite unusual? Have been quite a few times when a TMO might have got involved but hasn’t.
Hope it is a new directive, much better

As they said in commentary, it’s his last international game so he doesn’t give a toss about the post match review

I like Currie a lot, good player and I'm hoping he's a weekly starter at Edinburgh next year.
Hastings just a much more fluid player than Healy.
