Yeah, I was weighing up the options in my head and I think Horne might be sitting this out due to his kicking from hand, but if he's not there to kick goals then having Hastings start is the obvious option.

Having said that, I think we don't have the impression of Jordan being a prodigious goal kicker because Glasgow so often go to the corner rather than taking the three.
However, as I said, it's a big ask to start at fly half on your debut and it's even more so to be taking the pots at goal too, but I think Jordan is a good kicker.

Aye, I really don't know either way to be honest but if he is going to be an international 10 he needs to be able to kick from the tee somewhat reliably.

Jordan's kicking off the tee is fine , I think his conversion rate is around 80% so far this season , just a baw hair behind Hastings who is just over 80, it was his kicking from hand that was previously more problematic , but this season it has improved , and is much better that Hastings

Just moved to Oxford and wondered if there were any Bite members in the vicinity, looking for some people to commiserate with about Edinburgh, Marvel at and celebrate the Weegies, and wonder when hope becomes expectation with Scotland.

Do you know where the games are shown publicly?, or would like to maybe venture to nearby matched if any of the Scottish teams are passing by, Bath, Bristol etc.

Is there anybody out there?

I think Jordan's kicking at goal has improved a lot from what I have seen of it recently - it was not what you want from a professional fly half when he started at Glasgow - but I reckon the evidence of it being good enough for international rugby would be if he was trusted more at his club. Yes, Glasgow don't go for three points much but they tend to choose Horne to take them when they do.

I live in Oxford too.

Not many places to show Scottish rugby that isn't the six nations. The best bet is probably Oxford Retreat in town for that.

Won't get premier sports anywhere except O'Neils and you'd have to get lucky for them to actually show it so Edinburgh and Glasgow matches usually have to be watched at home.

Not sure I agree with that. If the stats above are correct and Horne is significantly better than the pair of them then you'd have him kicking whenever he's on the field. If there's only a couple of percent difference between Jordan and Hastings I don't think we can say it's not good enough for int rugby if Hastings is starting.

But I'd be happy to watch an international with you. I think if you're going to games locally it's a bit easier to get to Leicester and Saints than Bristol/Bath.
