Pollard really needs to step up. Jantjies can't be kakker
Agree.
Pollard is currently the worst Bok on the pitch. Really costing us a lot of territory, possession and momentum with his poor kicking today. He is putting his team under a lot of pressure unnecessarily.
He has been good in defense though. Worried with Ioane running so hard in the 10 channel that Elton might not be up to it.

Wonder if Faf's box kick will still be effective into the wind and out of the sun?

Kwagga has been brilliant. Several Bok bordies need to eat humble koeksuster
He just needs to be more accurate in his turnover attempts. He is a little too eager sometimes and bleeds a lot of stupid penalties.
Does all the hard work to get to the contact point, but does release before competing for the ball.

Are the commentators seriously arguing that the prop should be allowed to be offside, cos you can't expect a big prop to get up and back onside?

I'm listening to the kiwis, and it definitely sounded like they thought it was harsh penalising the ab prop for being offside.

Ah OK, misunderstood, sounded more like they thought he should be allowed, because you can't expect him to get back, to me.

I'll need to see a replay, but he didn't near the ball. It's not enough to simply put yourself in the air and claim you were contesting, you have to be in a realistic position to do so.

Newshub getting a little optimistic here
59 mins - ABs back on the attack, the Boks 22m looming. SA defence holds but NZ remain patient with some quickly recycled ball which leads to a penalty. This time they call for the kicking tee. 22m on the angle, J. Barrett puts NZ back in front with 20 to play. (61-14)

Change the law. Zero contesting allowed. It’ll stop the constant kicking too.

I hope the Boks lose solely because of that last box kick. On the edge of the 22 and all you can think to do is kick possession away.
