Have been keeping an eye after he was talked up last week and he's been pretty sloppy so far at the breakdown.

1 early knock on and 2 fumbles since, both of which he got away with.

Have to admit, Clarke's looking a lot sharper this year.

Not his best game so far, but I reckon he'll be a very good test player before much longer.

Has a nice, sharp pass and he's a mile ahead of Christie.

Agree with this, Christie is just as rough without the sharp pass

Buggery fuck. All the hard work to take the lead with so little time to go then some berk gives away a stupid penalty.

Did anyone see who the idiot was?

Weber and Perenara too, for mine. He and Fakatava will hopefully be second and third in the pecking order come September.

Especially when the option in the Blues is BB and the All Blacks desperately need to develop some new first fives for 2024 onwards

As a long-serving forward, I get furious when the piggies have worked hard to affect a turnover only for the 9 or 10 so hoof it down the field, giving possession straight back to the oppo.

On the contrary, he's our best 12. Ten minutes ago, he was our best 15. Fifteen minutes ago, he was our best 14.

😂 he’s wasted when he’s not at 15 imo. And a little flaky in defensive alignment at 12.

Canes ahead 17-12 at HT. Some sloppy handling by the home team is bringing far too many attacking chances to a grinding halt. On the bright side, the Canes front row has been very good indeed. Great to see Aumua in career best form. Naholo reminds me of a younger Caleb Clarke.
