And I wouldn't hold that against him. It's one of those correct by the letter of the law, but called once in a blue moon scenarios.

That is one of the thickest penalties I've seen a player give away. Following it up with the dive over the line is extra special.

I lost internet as Tupou was trying to stand back up. I've missed everything since then

The Bled record is absurd. I'm trying to think what it would be like not to hold the Calcutta Cup in that long, to be that uncompetitive with one of your historic rivals... It's almost enough to make you pity the Aussies.
Almost.
Fuck you, Eddie Jones. Enjoy the loss you poisonous dwarf.
Scott Barrett is a rock. I'd be happy if Razor names him captain next year.

NZ actually held the Bledisloe for 29 years way back around the 1950s... but the sheer volume of tests played now in comparison means that record means fuck all when you consider they would have played single tests for the cup some years.

It put the Springboks performance last week in perspective in NZ.
He has great rugby smarts and anticipation. How good was he in Frizell's try? Captaincy experience, too.

That blond 10 look fresh out of High School.
If he was honest:
"Maaaate, we're on the piss weak side of the draw no NZ, France, Boks, Ireland, Scotland. A bit of luck and we're in the world cup final, could also lose to Wales and Georgia and not make the quarters".
Fuck me they got lucky with their draw, and they could still be struggling.

That's being very generous to the state of Rennie's team tbh. They weren't looking like contenders for anything, but I think he was getting what he could out of them. Australian rugby has deep, deep issues and there's only so much the head coach of the senior men's team can do.
ABs definitely much better than last year, it's annoying but they've turned the corner. Any team that isn't on their level and/or doesn't put in a full 80 against them stands no chance.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 12:15 pm It put the Springboks performance last week in perspective in NZ.
The two quarters from the AB and Bok pools now looks like the four best teams there play each other and two go home.
Bottle top.
I love Scooter. He’s a hard player. But he’s not bright. Not someone I’d want calling the game strategy when it needs a good head in a tight RWC knock out.
He wears his heart on his sleeve. But those sleeves have got him many red cards!

The All Blacks are in great form. The real test will come in London. The World Cup is a strange tournament. Qualify for the business end and then hit form._Os_ wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 12:35 pmABs definitely much better than last year, it's annoying but they've turned the corner. That's where the Springboks have an advantage. Been there, done that ext
Curve was upward. Beat South Africa, won away in Argentina and if Iceman hadn't fecked around eking another three seconds they'd have beaten NZ as well. Also gave ourselves and France an almighty scare in the autumn.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 12:32 pmThat's being very generous to the state of Rennie's team tbh. With their side of the draw getting to semi final looked a formality. Not so sure now, and wouldn't be surprised in the least if Eddie's star burns out before 2027
