Someone said there's 190 T14 + ProD2 caps in that team before Tuilagi was added (and he has 3 appearances for the national side already!)
Mad stuff
To be clear, I think that's an excellent stat. I raise my eyebrows a bit about guys with senior caps playing u20 but the number of club appearances speaks to how well French rugby is doing in giving their youth a chance
The Jiff system is paying dividends Pity the U20 had to shuffle so much their line up this year.
I hope they are a settled side going into the U 20 World cup.

It's a big ask for England

Sounds like a poach, sad to see France can't develop its own players, etc etc

Ha. Thought crossed my mind.
France better cap him quickly. The Italians don't fuck around.

Gazzoti was part of the U20 that won the WC last year.
Tuilagi is more of a poach (even if he isn't)

I think JM was having a jab, even tho I’m not sure with the perfidious albionais , but yeah Gazzoti was born in France from a French father and Tuilagi was also born in France.

Actually surprised they have not seen him before as he was part of the U20 last year during the world cup.
if he gets poached by Italy i'll be annoyed (if he qualifies)

Don't worry guys. It was just a joke based on an Italian sounding name. I'm sure he won't be stolen
Albeit a joke coloured by the knowledge that a handful of every Eng U20s group end up being capped by other 6N teams. Often after not being shown any interest by the England senior setup tbf

Yes it's quite obviously a joke seeing as it immediately followed me praising France's current ability to develop young players

Nominative determinism would seem to suggest that Ioan Jones and Finn Carnduff are destined to play for Wales and Scotland respectively.

Ireland off the mark first, but it took time
7 - 0 with 23 mins gone.
Scotland have gotten better every match in the 6N, you need to get these guys more games.

Best I've seen in a few years. Some incredible tacklers and some very gutsy displays considering how out muscled they usually are.

Garbage pass from McParland there to put England under all sorts of pressure. France take the lead.

Looks like your typical athletic 9 that can dominate and come from schoolboy rugby with a decent rep. Whilst struggling to actually do the basics

I don't think you should be able to penalise someone for not rolling away after being flattened in the tackle by and then stuck under Posolo Tuilagi. It's like asking someone to roll out from beneath an elephant.

Consistent there he penalised a french player for the same earlier.

Good crazy try
21-5 so far for France
I'm saying it should be an exception specifically for him because he's a ridiculous size compared to all the other players.

Dog I miss Bill McLaren, I switched over from the Ireland Scotland game because of the commentary being only on one side, the English guys are just as bad.

That score was badly needed, the momentum had been all with France and they were threatening to start running away with the game.

Send a letter to BBC Alba asking them where the coverage is !
Even the skint Welsh have their match on S4C

Another forward pass on that right wing for France. Really letting England off the hook.

So neutrality from the comms is not an option then?

They don't really make an effort anywhere do they ?
I mean for the senior side there'll be a commentator from both Countries, which is the way it should be for the U20s, but I think it's better to just make the feed available to all broadcasters, & then you can pick & choose where you watch & what commentary you get

Really tough on the Scottish lads that; there's no way we were worth that final score.
