wow....Van der Merwe...
I'm not a fan of him for Lions contention but he consistently rolls out the big moments for Scotland.
In all our big wins he generally does something.
One of Cockerills beat coaching moments was showing him a bit of love and helping him get to the root cause of his injury issues.

Scotland have produced little and yet find themselves in the lead.

Yeah, when your attack is as blunt as ours, drop goals when in position are a good idea.

Two breakaway tries and an inability to hold onto the ball

There must be a record number of knockons from both sides in a half of rugby.
English backline not clicking, apart from the try.

Made the tackle, too. Stey needs to retire in disgrace.

Strike moves are easier to practice than open play. Lack of fluidity in attack has been a consistent problem under Jones and now Borthwick.

Monye is right about VDM but that's the system fault rather than player. Tandy has his wingers push up.

I'm sorry, but again a dreadful half.
Both teams really, Scotland all over the place early on. Then England get in on the comedy act and present some tries back.
England showing ambition to play, but ultimately writing cheques trying to do things and at a pace that the ability and skillsets can't cash. and then chaos, errors, and lack of any discernible structure is never far away.
Not sure whether stuff like Cole leading kick chases, or Ford being the most effective disrupter at the breakdown, are seen as plus points or just more signs of the chaotic random display....
Another game where we seem to drag things down to our level, and whoever shits the bed least second half sees out the match/result.

Him and Daly (that first try looks worse every time I see it) are a massive hole waiting to be exploited.

That defending on Redpath was beyond amateur, how many was that trying to dive on the ball, getting taken out of the game, and creating a huge hole?
