Another +1 from me here. However I would say I do not want a reputation/power/karma type system in place. Those things get abused badly, especially with a "culture" like we have here :D, not that I'd change the culture that much, just it would become sickening if anyone actually had some sort of "power".

Just a thought to store away for if and when you look at this, but if the website won’t conveniently handle a front end a separate blog might work. Wordpress or similar. Again, there are lots of people here who could help build up traffic. I’m no genius at any of this but I’m happy to help with an article or three.
