Yep. Don't address my points. Don't confess to your brainwashed buffoonery.
But hey, have you heard the latest: Trump has unleashed his secret police Nazi gestapo stormtroopers on the civilian population . It's a forerunner to his tactic when he gets landslided by Joe somebody in an election for Congress some time apparently in the next decade in Mexico, Tacoma and Trump's going to refuse to vacate and this is just his practice run. Must be true, 'cos it's non-stop on XiNN and in the NZ media and lots and lots of seriously intelligent deep thinkers are regurgitating it so gee whizz, that surely confirms it..
That was a serious post?
This appears to actually be the poster Macrosan from PR. Never really noticed them before.

Political anarchy is actually a tactic started and used by the Kremlin and Putin. Complete nonsense all the time, keep the populace confused and the media shooting off wildly in different directions, everyday create a new and different outrage... the population after a few years switches off and gets bored of all the drama..whilst they gather all the wealth of the country and put it through the London Laundromat.
Yesterday Trump was accused of using his office to secure the British golf open for himself at a Scottish golfing venue.
They have a witness, eagre and willing to talk..evidence an everything.
Normally that would be impeachable.
But as everyone is so worn down by Trumps crimes, it will all just slowly drift into the ether.

I said ten years ago Conservatism isn't a longterm vision for the country, there is no ideology there, it is all about selling everything the country owns and has invested in for generations, to their mates, out of the backseat if their car, whilst escaping to the airport.
It is a heist.
In the UK they did it by tapping into the fact that people need hatred anger and resentment to get their low paid, mean spirited behinds out of bed in the morning.
Making people hate the poor, sick (their carers) the unemployed, single mums.
And you did.
You fucking well did.
Well this is what all that resentment, hatred and anger gets you.
135 thousand unnecessary deaths.
A country on its knees.
Wait, I'm confused. Are those 135K Covid deaths?
Or Russian spy kills on UK soil as ordered by Putin?
Or something about Thatcher and the mines?

Yep ! Speed freaks aren't renowned for their stability.
He stopped doing the daily briefings, because the media stopped covering them, because he had to be the center of attention; & the news in the next few weeks from the US is going to be very bad; he's going to get asked questions he isn't able to answer, & he'll do what he always does, & he will attack the questioners.
I give them two weeks before he either hands them over to someone else, or stops them again.

It will be for some people, for some of them they'd get into a lot of trouble for not following orders.
It's not easy to know what will be done, the balance to be struck between not wanting merely to be seen persecuting a political rival Vs going after some serious abuses will not be easy to find. And if they're going to bring cases they need to actually achieve something.
Barr looks like someone who should be in a lot of hot water along with Trump. I don't know how much lower I'd want to drop down the line of command however

Seems much too harsh to me. For instance if you're a customs and borders agent being sent into Portland as part of the federal response are you expecting all those individual agents to resign? And to resign during a pandemic when they've got mortgages to pay and families to feed, when unemployment is about to explode and millions of people are on the verge of homelessness?

For those of you wondering how long it would take for people marching with guns to get themselves into trouble, a protester - who was pushing his disabled girlfriend in her wheelchair on the BLM protest in Austin on Saturday - was shot and killed by the driver of a car that pushed it's way through the march (rather than take a lengthy detour to avoid the march, it is presumed) and allegedly knocked the wheelchair. The deceased was carrying an AK47 rifle (of course... why wouldn't you?) and waved it at the driver of the car, who, apparently, also had a gun.

It's all good:
The driver accused of shooting Foster was brought in by police for questioning, and his handgun and car were secured for evidence, police said, and another person who fired their gun at the car was brought in for questioning. Both had a concealed handgun license and were released pending further investigation.

It;s getting closer......
President Donald Trump's national security adviser, Robert O'Brien, has tested positive for Covid-19, according to an official familiar with what happened.
O'Brien's diagnosis marks the highest-ranking Trump administration official known to have tested positive. It's unclear when O'Brien last met with Trump. Their last public appearance together was over two weeks ago during a visit to US Southern Command in Miami on July 10.
O'Brien, one of Trump's top aides, recently returned from Europe, where he and his top deputy met with officials from the UK, France, Germany and Italy.
A senior administration official told CNN that O'Brien has been working from home since last week. A source familiar said O'Brien was last in the office last Thursday, when he abruptly left the White House.
Several National Security Council staffers told CNN that they weren't informed that O'Brien tested positive and learned of the news from media reports.
The National Security Council chief was accompanied on the trip to Europe by Secret Service agents, staffers and multiple reporters. Multiple pictures released from the trip showed O'Brien neither practicing social distancing nor wearing a mask.
As the pandemic has spread, the President has defended not wearing a mask or social distancing, with many of his top officials and White House staffers following suit, saying that it's not necessary because they are tested every day. O'Brien's positive test underscores the unique challenges of keeping the virus away from the West Wing and the President's immediate orbit.
Last week, administration officials were alerted that a cafeteria employee on White House grounds had tested positive. Kimberly Guilfoyle, the President's son's girlfriend and top campaign fundraising official, tested positive before a trip to Mt. Rushmore earlier this month. Multiple Secret Service agents and campaign staffers tested positive after becoming infected while preparing for the President's Tulsa campaign rally in June. Vice President Mike Pence's communications aide Katie Miller tested positive for coronavirus in May, and one of the President's personal valets tested positive earlier that week.
O'Brien, Trump's fourth national security adviser, has been largely out of sight during the coronavirus pandemic. CNN has previously reported that rather than helping to lead the administration's response, he has delegated responsibilities to top aides and even bypassed coronavirus task force meetings.
Trump tapped O'Brien, a former lawyer and hostage negotiator, to the post in September 2019, one week after he fired John Bolton amid disagreements on foreign policy issues.

There has been a pretty big shift in the way people are talking about Biden (admittedly - on social media).....I think the Dems are going to mess this up again.

I'd set that as an upper age-limit for occupying any office above local council. If someone were set to pass the threshold during their elected term, they would be ineligible to run.

The republican base is neither a majority nor silent.
It's going to be closer than it should be, but this thing spins as much on Republicans successfully disenfranchising voters and gerry-mandering as it does on the worth of the respective candidates.

I see John Kasich is to speak at the Democratic convention urging Republicans to vote for Biden.
Doesn't this just alienate progressives whose votes are also much needed? I know he's relatively sensible and moderate for a Republican but his stance on signature progressive issues like the environment and abortion will be repellent to left wing voters. These aren't the type of endorsements that they find palatable.
Is he really that influential that he's going to bring a substantial number of republicans into the fold or sway undecided voters?
The Democratic Party has no interest in Progressives at all. That they have shown over and over again.
They are just not the Trump party, so to speak.
And on that note - the DNC platform committee voted against Medicare 4 all (125 votes to 36) but its quoted that 88% Democrat voters are in favour of it. Many progressives are up in arms about it!

I remember at the the last election, listening to one of the very few people to accurately predict the result. The Black political commentator Van Jones said that Hillary only had 73% of the black vote, when she needed something like 88% to win. (Cannot remember the precise figures sorry, figures for demonstration purposes only, but they were something like that).
He said there is no way she will win without her hitting the high eighties amongst black voters ..I assume the same is true now for Joe, and pretty much all democratic presidential candidates.
If the Republicans can stick up a black, independent candidate to split the black vote, get Biden's vote amongst blacks down into the seventies, then, if Van Jones is right (he was) , it is still squeaky bum time and very much all to play for.
People thought kanye running was a joke, I instantly thought "oh fuck".
