I wonder what the best midfield defensive combo is.
Players have to get to know each other and know the defensive mechanisms.
I think with Rowlands, Ball and Hill back in the fold we will be bolstered in the forwards.
Lake, Anscombe and Rowlands are massive losses imho.
I wouldn't take anything out of the 6N forWales this has been Gats experimenting against a backdrop of domestic warfare and utter wankery.
All true. It’s probably gone now but there was a thing on the BBC about divisions in the squad before the on/off England game.
On one of the many podcasts they put out in game weeks, it was definitely stated that the squad were split over whether or not to strike.

French hooker got rucked off it by Smith there. Hand in your Front Row Card immediately.

That's some footwork by Watson.
But christ on a bike, it is a system breakdown when from a one out pass from a ruck your 10 needs to be 1st man to hit a ruck. Smith did a well.

England should have taken the 3.
Danty is quality. France really missed Danty against Ireland.

Watson was perfectly positioned to catch that right up until the split second before the stupid sod turned front on as the ball met him.

France are dead without him. Ntamack offers nothing in attack and without Danty trucking up in midfield, the backline is screwed. He's also superb at turnovers as is Villiere.
