No replays, no TMO. Ref has to make his own decisions. Bit like the 80s……feels weird.

Temperatures are expected to surpass 40-degrees in some parts of the region while Boland and surrounding towns, including Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch could see temperatures soar above 44-degrees.
According to The South African, new data released on Friday reveals that the Western Cape might just claim the title of “the hottest place on Earth” on Saturday, 22 January while countries like Australia will reach highs of only 38-degrees.

Well played
Dobson
Speaking after the match, Dobson said he was in favour of anything which would create extra interest in the game, but added his job to motivate his team was made easier by the video.
“I was grateful the video was doing the rounds and we played it in the team room on Friday,” Dobson revealed. “I didn’t speak to the team and I hope there will be Stormers fans recovering from hangovers on Sunday.
“However, anything that creates interest in rugby, I’m in for and it did helped create some interest. There was fun involved, but it help our players a fair bit.”
Dobson also credited Warrick Gelant for his positive impact after the Springbok fullback played a role in two tries after coming off the bench in the second half.
“It was amazing that we clawed ourselves back into the game and when Warrick Gelant came on, that created some magic in our game,” Dobson said.
“It was probably the only thing that was going to get us out of the position that we were in.”

Plastic fan. I expected more.
Nah I am just realistic. Our team haven't played any rugby while some of the Bulls had two warm up CC matches.
According to Jake White and the Bulls supporters they already bagged the CC.
They'll be 40 up at half time after Libbok totally lost the plot.
I can see Dobson,s hand by having 2 captains and not selecting Gelant.
sorry Handy , you got this right. plastic I am.

Pretty happy with the Sharks outing against a decent Lions side.
We really need to work on our defence, which was obviously rusty after a long break. But we've got the best 13 in the world to sort that out.
Our backline looks deadly. Let's hope Boeta as the ability to control them and unleash them. Plenty of depth at 9 too.

Your backline is sorted.
I still feel that you need a big bad bruiser at 4 or 7. While the front row is decent, the locks and loosies are a bit thin and light.

True, but we've still got Kolisi and Notshe to come back. 7 is an issue, for sure.
I know our locks aren't Springbok standard by any stretch, but I think they're just about good enough for this level to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Stormers need Fat Frans or Fouche at TH. Fuck know why Peyper kept on penalizing Kitshoff.
Dobson also must start Gelant and Willemse and need to play running rugby against the $hark$

Agreed. We're a bit thin on decent locks domestically at the moment. Only Moerat and Orie pack any grunt. The Bulls locks are also lightweight. The Lions also have journeymen.
Our tighthead depth is frightening - Malherbe, Koch, Nyakane, Sadie, Wilco Louw. Some good young hookers around too. Loosehead sorted with Ox Nche developing nicely. Elrigh Louw and Roos are our future 6 and 8.
The Bulls are now 1 from 6 in the URC. Jake must be sweating.

Yeah, we produce the best locks in the world. At the moment we only seem to be producing #5 locks. We need a few Bakkies / PSDT / Andre Venter / Juan Smith type players.
Agreed on our props, a strange thing for me is that the Bulls are struggling for props, on both sides of the scrum.
Roos is an outstanding player. Louw is a flat track bully. Brilliant in the CC , but MIA against the bigger men.
Jake's belief that bigger is always better is coming to bite him in the arse again.
A team blessed with so many good players should be doing WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better.
