There are many protestors who this banner is offending. This guy is exposing them week after week. I believe the guy who attacked him said that Hamas were freedom fighters or similar. I’ll try and dig it out. I’m sure it was first hand account.
The met police are ignoring support of terrorist organisations (Hamas and Houthis) and instead attacking someone who simply had the message “Hamas are Terrorists”. And destroying his sign.
It’s fvcking dire.
He's got a culture war to tend to, ain't got no time for an actual conflict. These protest marches seem to be mainly composed of Hamas and Houthi supporting Islamist and far left antisemites (very often supporters of Jeremy Corbyn) obsessed with Israel. When they attack others about not caring that women and children are dying it’s useful to bear that in mind.Ymx wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2024 10:01 pm The scuffle itself was minor, of course. but it’s the key underlying issues with the incident which are actually fundamentally terrifying.

This country is not at war, and terrorist supporters need to be policed as such. The utter uselessness and bias shown by the met is disgusting and very disturbing. These Islamists are increasingly brazenly shouting support for terrorists and for the destruction of Israel/Jews.
You can’t legitimise this.
He is a troll, you can't talk about Israel daily for 6 months and not know what Netanyahu looks like if you have a genuine feeling for the country and their conflict.C69 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2024 9:31 am I don't think YMX is trolling tbh, he is just not very well informed about anything. His reactionary, some may say far right links from twitter etc somewhat make him a target.
Cut him some slack if he stops spewing bile from extremists.

I do also think he has a sincere dislike of Muslims as apart from the odd All Blacks thread he spends his time on the Israel thread and the dinghy thread talking about them in a uniformly negative manner.
But first and foremost he's a troll, see his set up and then immediate performative outrage when someone posted a picture of Lavrov. Not realising, somehow, it wasn't the leader of the country he's been talking about for six months.
Visegrád 24 is an advertising agency account on X (formerly Twitter) that publishes information related to the current events, including the Russian invasion of Ukraine as well as the Israel–Hamas war.[1] One of its founders was Polish content creator and advertiser Stefan Tompson.[2][3]
Misinformation
In 2022 and 2023, Polish media outlet OKO.press and Visegrad Insight published, respectively, that Visegrád 24 was a propaganda and misinformation hub funded by the Polish government.[3][10][better source needed]
Israel–Hamas war
In October 2023, the University of Washington's Center for an Informed Public stated that Visegrád 24 was primarily posting emotionally-charged content, with some posts using divisive imagery and "culture war" framing. They noted, "While traditional news does at times use such imagery as well, the sheer volume of these tweets, combined with the lack of deeper analysis or context mentioned above, created for our analysts the sense of a constant stream of decontextualized anger and violence when analyzing these accounts."[6]
Visegrád 24 posted a CNN clip that claimed babies had been decapitated by Hamas during their initial attack on Israel. CNN later issued two corrections; the Center for an Informed Public noted they could not find any corrections by Visegrád 24 about the rumour.[6]
In November 2023, Bloomberg News found that Visegrád 24 was one of the influencers that went viral by posting misinformation since the start of the war, citing an instance where Visegrád 24 claimed without evidence that the Taliban had asked the Iranian, Iraqi and Jordanian governments for passage to join with Hamas.[8]
In December 2023, Visegrád 24 posted a video clip on X from 2015 of a man who shouted at Israeli soldiers before falling. In the post, Visegrád 24 posed the question, "What is going on here? Is Pallyywood [sic] in action?", in reference to Pallywood, a conspiracy theory that claims Palestinians are faking civilian casualties.[15]
On 9 March 2024, Visegrád 24 claimed Israel had defeated Hamas and won the siege of Khan Yunis.[16] However, this was disputed by the Institute for the Study of War, who also published on 9 March that Hamas “remains combat effective” in Khan Yunis.[17]
True but Israel does buy British weapons and the government has not suspended selling them despite what we are seeing on TV.
Always ready to defend Hamas, aren’t you. It’s a fact that she was murdered by Hamas, the exact manner I’m not sure - raped, tortured, burned alive - despite your seeming inability to believe it, it has been well documented that Hamas have employed all these methods.Tichtheid wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 4:57 pm This is from Wiki

you admit the quoted post is inaccurate, then squeal that the quoted post is factual. It’s a fact that she was murdered by Hamas, the exact manner I’m not sure - raped, tortured, burned alive - despite your seeming inability to believe it, it has been well documented that Hamas have employed all these methods.
You have a go at YMX for quoting an Israeli government official, despite what that official giving factually correct information

you're incapable of discussion. You spring to the defence of the IDF and Israeli govt as a reflex... and the logic failure here is hilarious,

If that point is of attempting to discredit/verify only information on one side - then no it’s been pretty clear.

Would you mind finding your posts which have discredited the other side. Or are you suggesting the references have always been impeccable on the Palestinian/Hamas defence ?

Does it matter if 25000 or 35000 civilians have been killed in Gaza? Or if this week's count is 50 or 1000? We know for sure the number isn't going down.Ymx wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 9:16 am Whilst the BBC did make themselves a global laughing stock in the early days of the conflict. You seem to have appointed yourself as independent source verification. If you find a slight stain or anything on the source, you leap on it, in an attempt to discredit anything and everything which purports to either show Hamas as barbaric terrorists, or that shows the iDF in any good light.
And it’s only ever in the one direction. Check your reflection.
You “allow” casualty numbers to be bandied about from which we know are numbers which have ultimately come from Hamas. Yet are post by post dropped here, and without ever any breakdown as to which are Hamas terrorists, or resistance fighter as some here might call them.
So V24 we should dismiss, but those with underlying source of Hamas are fine.
So forgive me if I don’t seek your approval when posting.

Regardless who reports it, it's still a gross tragedy and we should all be shouting at Israel to fuck their tanks back to Tel Aviv immediately!
Of course it's difficult to judge numbers, it's a war zone. People shouldn't be less abhorred by the situation in Gaza because less people reported dying yesterday or turn a blind eye because the Hamas Ministry of Information are inflating numbers. If I was running that department, I'd also do it - how else do you get the rest of the world to take notice???
Well if 15,000 of those are Hamas or even 10,000 it is a ratio which is better than many many conflicts. Especially one where Hamas is actively hiding behind and under civilians.Sandstorm wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 9:23 amDoes it matter if 25000 or 35000 civilians have been killed in Gaza? I'm not asking for your approval, but you are still missing the point.
I'll write it again.
Everyone knows who and what the BBC is.
No one knows who the sources you pick up on twitter are, I spent about two minutes finding out that they have been shown to be deliberately spreading misinformation without retraction.
I'll write this again too, if you want to be taken seriously, use, for example, AP or Reuters if you think the BBC is biased.
