Justice for Saints in the end. Deserved winners, especially with the weird ref fuckery in the last 10.

Amazing game. Northampton a very different team in the Champions Cup. Leinster very sloppy. Sweet sweet result.

It happens when you use your A team only for big games.clydecloggie wrote: Sat May 03, 2025 6:30 pm Amazing game. Northampton a very different team in the Champions Cup. Leinster very sloppy. Sweet sweet result.

Really enjoyed this game, congrats Saints. We should see a cracking final.
Eh? Bit judgy. We bought tickets as the stadium is close by, and there weren't many left so you have to be in there early.
If nobody wants the tickets we're going, but I'd rather supporters of the two teams get to go.

Frame them and hang them on your wall. They will remind you that hubris always bites you on the arse.

Very well done Saints, thoroughly deserved. Ye we're brilliant today. Huge kudos to the coaching team, they really did a number on us.
Would have been robbed if we'd gotten that at the end. Still think it should have been a try though. Oh well.

the ball was on the line/touching the flag (not the base as the ref said), ergo in goal. There is no off-feet in goal.
Of course if it was a penalty at all it should have been a penalty try anyway.
But, it would have been daylight robbery, so I'm not sore about it or anything. Saints were well worth their victory

There is no offside in-goal. There is no such thing as no off-feet in rugby.

Got a good 20 people off their feet in my club’s pavilion, of which a grand total of 0 are Northampton fans and probably 5/6 watch rugby outside the 6N. Great win

That looks pretty grounded against the base of the flag to me and that's why the ref didn't proceed to address whether or not Keenan was on his feet or required to be.

Yeah, the off feet one would have been tricky to adjudicate but ball against base of corner flag is definitely "clear and obvious".
The confusion comes with the penalty but yellow and no PT was right.
I'm still agog that Leinster tried to run that last penalty.

A player can be offside anywhere within the playing area (Law 10.2). The playing area includes in-goal.Kawazaki wrote: Sat May 03, 2025 10:39 pmPornDog wrote: Sat May 03, 2025 9:31 pmthe ball was on the line/touching the flag (not the base as the ref said), ergo in goal. A player on the ground in the field of play, without the ball is out of the game (Law 13.3). The field of play does not include in-goal.

The low, low, low URC standard rugby has catch up on him.Sandstorm wrote: Sat May 03, 2025 7:52 pm Jordie Barrett is a crowbar. Don’t think he passed once today.

Missed the games yesterday so only just seen highlights.
1) Well done Saints. Maybe sometimes the good guys (attractive rugby) can still win these days.
2) Would have paid good money to see the The Swarm's meltdown on Planet Jake.
