I see the exemption rules state you are exempt if you are unable to be vaccinated due to a recent Covid infection. Given that he has made it clear he has never had any intention of getting vaccinated surely he will struggle to claim that loophole.

He's a non obese, healthy young man with some level of immunity gained from prior infection. His risk of getting seriously Ill with omicron is very low.

Pictures of Novax mixing with kids and others in Serbia at the same time as he had tested positive and must have known he was positive would suggest he is not the sort of person you would want coming into your country during a pandemic and when your public health messaging could suffer as a result of his behaviours. It is his choice but it is also Australia's choice as well.

Also my mates son just tested positive for covid again, less than 3 months since he was last positive. Looks like omicron reinfection is a real thing?

I was not making any point beyond commenting on his level of risk in response to Ymx's post. I've not followed this case closely but from the little I've read none of Novak, Tennis Australia and the Australian Border Force come out well.

Certainly elements of it, however I could see crowd trouble at his matches which would be pretty unedifying. I am no Novac fan but I think he should play.

Reported in the media this morning. They way of course be referring to the dodgy Covid claim from December.

Also it's been suggested by his own legal team that he first applied for his exemption on the 18th November. If he is subsequently relying on the December Covid case, what was his basis for exemption then.
