I'll be to scared the thing gets tangled, luckily I don't have a foot fetish so tow rings don't bother me that much.
How big a unit is she to have a tow ring fitted?..😲

Nose ring or septum piercing? The former can be quite nice looking, the latter... not so much. Such piercings don't annoy me and people are free to stick metal through whichever parts of themselves they choose, but I've never seen one of those that contributed positively to someone's appearance. Must be a hassle wiping your nose too.

I was speaking to a guy in the park who was telling me his new hobby is taking his drone to the hills and flying it about. My head was just saying β€œcunt cunt”. It can really spoil a day out.
That would prompt me to trail him with a home-made Gauss Gun.
There seems to be a tradition forming of hill walkers throwing stones at the bloody things, long may that continue. I hurled a few at one on Arthur's Seat last year then felt a bit guilty as it was filming a wedding party.
I had resolved not to come over here, but given most Scottish posters from PR had, I thought I'd come over for a look at what they were saying about the match. This thread was two above, and as it can be entertaining I thought I'd have a look.

I live in a hill waking honeypot. We have drone, as do a lot of our neighbours. They are useful tools when you live and work in the country for their ability to scan a lot of ground fast. My drone cost nearly Β£2k. If someone was throwing stones at it when I was flying legally, I'd be waiting at the bottom of the hill with a shotgun (metaphorically). Some of the commercial drones used by farms and estates round here are up to Β£5k. On what planet is it acceptable to potentially cause thousands of pounds of damage just because you feel your day out was spoiled?

What if several drone enthusiasts arrive and start buzzing near a farmhouse. Not spying or intruding just making a racket? Not sure what your laws are around their use in the UK but it certainly is a legal area that needs looking at. I agree on their value in rural areas. They are great for livestock and we use them especially for sheep in mountainous areas where stock theft is a problem. The VTOL fixed wings can stay up for 5 hours. Those are used extensively in rhino conservation.

A few years ago we were in a rather nice hotel in Rhodes and had a reasonably sized private pool on our balcony, as did all the others on the level. One afternoon a drone appeared buzzing overhead, clearly checking out the pools and the rooms. Obviously myself and every other guest phoned to complain The next thing a member of staff appeared on the balcony next door and without a word of warning blew the thing to bits with a shotgun.

Using this as a venting topic.
A sort of NPR Victor Meldrew thread

WTF
"Dating app Bumble, which made its name by putting women in charge of making contact with potential mates, has soared to a market value of more than $13bn after listing shares."

What kind of crazy arse share valuation is that. That valuation would put it as the equivalent of a top 50 share on the Footsie.

My lot are the opposite. More time than required is consistently booked in "Just in case". Earlier I was settled in for a 1 and half hour meeting that lasted 40 minutes. While I don't mind getting the time back it's a bit tedious and just reveals that the presenter/chair hasn't planned very well.

Idiot who needs IT supports ignores this and replies to it/me to get IT support.

I copy and paste the exact contact instruction from further down the email trail and reply to him with it.

2 weeks later same moron then replies to THAT email with another request for support.

When the people in the bottom flat decide that want to stick a camera in their window, that inadvertantly films people coming in and out of the building.

You write them a polite nice letter (you don't want to get the landlord involved), telling them you are a carer and you do not give them your consent, as the safety and security of the people you look after is being placed in jeopardy, and because I don't want to be filmed six times a day coming and going into my home.....and don't want people to know when I am away from the vulnerable people I take care of, or out of my flat, I'm weird?

Tempted to buy a camera and stick it on the wall, in the corridor, directed at their front door. See how they like it.

We can all have fun with gaw'damned cameras.

Petty crime. I just binged a CBC series of short docs (would share, but imagine they're geo-blocked) called Farm Crime. Six stories featuring how complete dickweeds ripped off hard working farmers/producers. As often goes with probably many of our systems, even though most perpetrators were caught, they did a few months to a year of time and never were forced (though sentenced) to pay back what the farmers lost.

If you're interested and ... your friend ... has a way to watch: https://gem.cbc.ca/season/farm-crime/se ... 31c892b32e

People whose first disposition in life is to complain. The first words out of their mouths is a moan, to the point where you're scared to ask them how they are. In social gathering they do nothing but bitch and complain about everything and everything. A cloud of negativity just follows them around. Despite a seemingly nice life, they can only ever see the downside to everything and nothing is ever good enough.
