Ireland are a very good side, we would have to have been flawless to have stood a chance but the pressure they put you under doesn’t allow it

The onfield leadership from Ritchie, Gray and even Brown on defensive line outs has been mind numbing.

Don’t pick players from Joburg if defence is a priority.

That's just weird. They should have had a yellow for killing the ball on the line a few times. That was it
Are you expecting a logical conversation about rugby laws with a Saffer?

They are a very good side and we need to be flawless to Beag then but we've made some basic basic errors in the second half.

Yup, but it comes from being fucked from the efforts so far, and that’s down to the opposition

Think if Scotland could've pressured the lineout more, stole a fee and starved Ireland of possession, which they should have, the crowd would have driven the Scottish intensity up. Scotland definitely the better team in the first half but just didn't come out of the changing rooms at half time.

Nah not for me.
You's were in complete control that day for 60mins and shouldve had 3 or 4 more tries. Scotland edged the first half in terms of performance for me but have been lucky to be 2nd place in the 2nd half.

Nah, I always think rugby is all about the second half, the better teams usually pull away as the opposition tires

Not all of it though. VdM not able to get an inch off the ground for a box kick, being beaten at the front repeatedly in the line out by not stacking the front of the line out as examples. The latter is high school level decision making by the senior guys.

Ireland will force a lot of errors but there's been too many unforced errors in this half.

Scotland have fallen apart a bit here. Hope they stick with it, can understand the disappointment given their best opportunity in decades to win the triple crown, but they don't deserve to concede the bonus point IMO

Oh, Russell drops it cold then Ireland somehow blow the bonus point try as I type!

Listen, I might have been terrible at the set piece and had a defensive game that Henry Slade would be embarrassed by, but I was still able to tap the ball...

Some 2nd half from Ireland given the changes in 1st half and the lineout being fucked.

Was always going to be an interesting weekend to find out where everyone stands.

I’m sorry, I just don’t see Scotland as anywhere bear the same bracket as the top 4. Let’s not beat around the bush, it was an entertaining game but they’ve just had their arses handed to them. Ireland made all the running out wide, through the middle and in the pack. Scotland got done in the scrum and failed to put any pressure on a 7 throwing in to the lineout. VdM was show to be the lump that he is. Russell was kept at bay. Only Huw Jones looked like causing problems.

Ireland didn’t really get out of third gear and have won by 15 away, not looking forward to our trip to Dublin. Italy’s trip to Edinburgh is intriguing.

Well done Ireland. Remarkable ability to absorb all that pressure and suffer all those injuries so early on. Far from the best performance as a result, but a very professional one in the end.

Scotland... will they get a better chance at the Triple Crown? A few players got badly exposed today and they crumbled a fair bit in the 2nd half.
