And penalty in front. All comes back to that crap work at the breakdown.

Copped some shit here but Carley has had balls of steel to call that. He’s been consistent on it all day but could easily have bottled that

What a finish to a great game. This time the cynical pen bites on the bum.

Game! So much more fun to watch when we balance kicking game with ball in hand, I'd rather lose playing like that than win playing like last week.

Lukha Am must be the coolest player in rugby.

That ref has been awful all series and he saved his worst game till last.
So did the ABs.
Forwards soft and/or poorly coached.

Actually, I think they were cynically smart. They clearly decided that 3 was always going to be better than 5/7 and it was only when it reached precipice point the tactic could not work. It's why the yellow card is there but was never deployed. They played Carney brilliantly considering they were mullered at the breakdown.

Jeez that was epic.
Elton Jantjies and Frans Steyn te difference in the end.
The backline of Pollard at 12, DDA at 13 and Am on the wing was actually lekker.
I think it proves to things:
1. Pollard is a bit shit and needs his mojo back
2. Jantjies just introducing a bit of unpredictability in our backline play works wonders.
Duane Vermeulen is a beast. Biggest priority for the Boks right now is to find his replacement. At best we are going to get 2 more years out of him.

Agree, just what I wrote in the foster out thread.Muttonbird wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 12:10 pmYou don't want to see an All Blacks captain swan diving for the cameras. That summed it up for me.

Finally coaches made changes in the backline and, quelle surprise, it worked. Frans, Elton...
You're lucky it wasn't Karl Dickson!!!Muttonbird wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 12:09 pm That ref has been awful all series and he saved his worst game till last.

And Herschel got 25 mins at last!boere wors wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 12:14 pm Finally coaches made changes in the backline and, quelle surprise, it worked. Frans, Elton...
On form he is our best 10 by some margin, but he has been poor all year and has only gotten worse since our arrival in Australia.Torquemada 1420 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 12:13 pmAlways amazed at how much stick safas give Pollard which appears to ignore the significant time he had out with injury. You seriously think you have a better option at 10?
On current form Jantjies is the better player, and I’ve never been a massive Elton fan, so it pains me to say that.
After No8, depth at 10 is our second biggest area of concern right now.
I think his hand was forced .....Frans was classboere wors wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 12:14 pm Finally coaches made changes in the backline and, quelle surprise, it worked. Frans, Elton...
