Shockingly poor attacking skills from the South African sides so far in this round. Ponderous and confused once it goes down the line.

Stormers maul and scrum keeping them competitive...for now.
Attack looks slow and shallow and static.

Schoolboy errors.
Also not seeing any players actually run
onto the ball. All starting from a standing start. Terrible play.

The Stormers backline.

I can't see them releasing a "Classic Games", DVD of this match.
Conditions aren't that bad.
Good, the Ref has noticed the Stormers are taking an injury break ever 3-4 minutes

So far the difference between the sides is that, Connacht have given up three tries, 2 against, & 1 for; to handling mistakes; & the Stormers haven't !

Ruhan Nel, not content with being useless all match, decides to have a brainfart and sit out 10 of the last 13 minutes of the match for no reason.
Stupid high tackle when it wasn't needed.

Exactly this !
It was the same with Petersens YC. Why do it 25m out ?, you have to trust your defense

Hershel Jantjies is an absolute liability. A one season wonder. Poor decision making, rubbish execution.

Stormers have been their own worst enemies out there today.
Match was there for the taking. Terrible skills and braindead play cost them points on the road.

The cards were killers, & the commentators were right that the Connacht subs all made immediate impact.
I thought this was going to be close, & wouldn't have been surprised if we'd lost after that 1st half; but it was good to see Connachts heads didn't drop.

Credit to Connacht who kept fighting till the last second.
Stormers yellow cards cost them. Both debatable.

Cangrats Connacht.
Jesus we were terrible. That was painful to watch.
Towards the end Libbok returned to form; when the pressure mounted he crumbled.
Only Willemse and Kitshoff had good outings. Fourie was also good until he went off.
All the other players need to take a long hard look in the mirror. Petersen, Davids, Orie, Jantjies and Nel had terrible outings.
Roos and Senatla were below average as well.

They did very well to claw the match back.
Stormers didn't adapt to the conditions or the referee. Skills were poor, discipline was poor...lots of senior players letting the team down today.

His kicking from hand was all over the place. He didn't seem to register when his kicks worked, & when they were pointless.
He kicked a couple of low darts, that really ask questions of defenders; & then he mixed in high kickoffs, that were too long & Connacht could just return unchallenged, & a couple of awful missed touchs.

He carried hard and made a few dominant tackles, but he didn't really have an impact Oom. No real linebreaks or offloads. He was quieter than usual by his high standards.

It's a problem with a few of our younger SA 10s at the moment. Libbok and Bosch and Hendrikse are confidence players and unfortunately their confidence is
very fragile.

Some very basic disciplines missing. We've forgotten how to exit from within the 22 in defence. A telegraphed weak scrumhalf box kick or a half-assed carry that gets isolated. And so much anxiety or impatience on attack.
