We're lucky Sards. Italy are playing Ireland tomorrow and Benetton are missing 16 internationals. Its more like 10 Boks against the Benetton B team. We should be crushing these guys. All the players below missing from Benetton on 6N duty.

Italy XV: E Padovani (Benetton); P Bruno (Zebre), J I Brex (Benetton), L Marin (Benetton), M Ioane (Benetton); P Garbisi (Montpellier), S Varney (Gloucester); D Fischetti (Zebre), G Lucchesi (Benetton), P Ceccarelli (Brive), N Cannone (Benetton), F Ruzza (Benetton), G Pettinelli (Benetton), M Lamaro (Benetton, capt), T Halafihi (Benetton).
Replacements: E Faiva (Benetton), I Nemer (Benetton), T Pasquali (Benetton), D Sisi (Zebre), M Zuliani (Benetton), B Steyn (Benetton), A Fusco (Zebre), M Zanon (Benetton).

He carried hard and made a few dominant tackles, but he didn't really have an impact Oom. No real linebreaks or offloads. He was quieter than usual by his high standards.
He did his part. When Fourie left at HT we weren't as dominant as in the 1st half. Dobson should have taken Xaba not the Cheetah poach Junior whatever. He look more then a 7 to me.

Anyways there are a lot of rugby to be played At home.

Fourie has been a real yster in our pack. We feel it every time he gets pulled by Dobson.
He is everywhere and does everything so well. Tackles well, caries well and he is a so good at the breakdown. And on top of all that he seems to be a strong leader in the team.
He must have gotten injured for Dobby to pull him when he was playing so well.

Can we all just agree that all 4 sides played fairly kak rugby against sides that were depleted of their internationals. The Sharks and the Bulls were just less kak than the Stormers and Lions.

In all fairness. The Lions performed better than any other SA team if you consider their players and the expectations.

I don't know that the Sharks were kak.
Maybe it's just such an amazing team with players that everyone likes that everyone expects more from them than other teams.
I saw a different game. For me Benetton focused on 2 things and did it well. Credit to them. We found no early dominance in the set pieces. Scrum ( albeit one that has dominated all South African teams) suddenly was struggling. So we got no advantage from that. Credit to Benetton. Remember if we struggled against Benetton. How are the other South African teams going to cope.
Our lineout is a joke. Get here ASAP Eben. This was so frustrating. Credit again Benetton. They did their homework well here. Other South African sides take note.
Their defensive lines were immaculate. They kept their structure under pressure. I was amazed by this. They are such a well drilled team. They were frustrating us. That's when the kicking started. Once again credit to Benetton.
Then on social media the Sharks are suddenly kak....

It's hilarious.
Sharks are coming home with a 5 point bonus point win. How did the rest do.
Next it's " the Sharks look lackluster "...ha ha ha.....
They are professional players. They know their job. They aren't running around like headless chickens posing for social media. I love their calmness. For me it's a sign of confidence.
Then it's " the 9 and 10 players need to go ". Once again hilarious. Jayden is still playing his way back from injury. Trust me . We have more quality options at 9 than any other side. The fact that Everett gives hin game time to get him up to speed shows exactly where he stands. He looked a lot sharper than last outing. Happy with that. As to Bosch. Man . Thank goodness we are kicking our points over . This has become a major issue for the Sharks. And most importantly. We are getting some distance away from our tryline when under pressure. The previous games we would still be under pressure in our 22.....it was heartbreaking for those that fought so hard to defend our tryline and get the turnover . And when there was a penalty that ball is put out right on attack on the Italian tryline. That's a special skill. I think we can put that defensive issue to bed now.
So he did all the basic skills perfectly and you get Mallet..." those long passes were dreadful with 4 on 2 , Sharks should have won this by more if they had a proper 10..."
I just laugh. His butt is burning. He went full Italian.

Bottom line. Stormers go top of the South African conference and they are the best South African team .
Sharks go top and all the negative criticism comes flooding in.

It wasn't a classic, but the Sharks got the job done.

Thanks to the fixture list, it's so hard to get any momentum. Now we've got to wait another 2 weeks for our next game.
