I suppose it means they can have their Super Sunday, & we get to watch all three games ?
Sunday March 19th
Scotland U20 14:00 Italy U20
Ireland U20 17:00 England U20
France U20 20:00 Wales U20
Eddie already proved him wrong by making England worse and worse and worse, tbh. He was distraught when Jones was sacked.Blackmac wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 8:09 amIt's one of his rare comments where it's impossible to actually prove him wrong and if the slide continues he will get more and more smug.JM2K6 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 10:25 pm Squidge has been making a bit of an arse of himself recently. He's so obsessed with his "Eddie Jones was going to win the World Cup with England" schtick that everything is viewed in that light. He refuses to believe that Eddie Jones is one of the big reasons WHY England are in such a hole, and it really does describe his 'analysis' to a T that he believed (and continues to believe) that the utter chaos, misery, confusion, and accelerating crapness of England under Eddie was actually all part of a plan. He cannot shut the fuck up about Eddie Jones.
Sometimes what you see is what you get. What we saw under Eddie for the past 2 years was an absolute shitshow. It's not really a surprise that the callow Eddie Jones acolyte and his even less experienced sidekick aren't halting the slide, but it's absolutely batshit insane to be pointing at this and going AHA! EDDIE JONES! I TOLD YOU IT WAS WRONG TO SACK HIM! when Eddie Jones is one of the reasons why we're in this fucking state.
Anyway I'll watch the video and no doubt get very annoyed
Only in the UK. Doesn't everyone else do Mothers' Day in May?sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 10:30 amOnly if your mum's dead or you hate her.fishfoodie wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 10:17 am I was looking forward to the U20s final games this evening, & now I see that they're played on Sunday

I appreciate that maybe they wanted to show them consecutively rather than overlapping as has been the case on Friday evenings, but moving these games to Mothering Sunday almost guarantees that they get a negligble audience.
ok that's going to be a hard sell that one get back from our game 100 km away (on the other side of paris) before 8 ...charltom wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 1:57 pmOnly in the UK. Worded badly by me, it’s more a case that the results are pretty certain rather than they’re home wins.EnergiseR2 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 8:15 pmNothing wrong with that if it happens. The whole point of the 6 nations is just the vibe around it. Amazingly the unions haven't fucked it up yet

I’m not a gambler but I think Ireland are beyond the falling at the last stage.EnergiseR2 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 8:51 pmIt's all set up for an England win. Think about it. I invited an Irish lad who has just moved to the area and I felt sorry for to the game today. He went and invited 5 of his mates over for the weekend who arrived yesterday, went on the piss, all had a decent win at Cheltenham and I now can’t get him to respond to any messages or calls.EnergiseR2 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 8:51 pmIt's all set up for an England win. Less than 40 is a choke for you guysJim Lahey wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 8:14 am If we don't win today it would eclipse Argentina 2015 as our biggest choke ever imo. The bookies have us by 17, which I think is a bit overstated, but I would expect us to win by 10.
Paddy Power have Italy to win at 15/2, which I think is cracking value. The Scottish pack can be got at, and they are missing some big hitters in the backline.

Yep. England are terrible. Ireland by more than 40 seems reasonable.Slick wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 8:17 amLess than 40 is a choke for you guysJim Lahey wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 8:14 am If we don't win today it would eclipse Argentina 2015 as our biggest choke ever imo. The mockers squat on your face and shit in your mouth.EnergiseR2 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 9:15 pm We have pissed on a few GS England parades so I am very confident they will turn up
The reverse mockers in a match you have no skin in?Slick wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 8:17 amLess than 40 is a choke for you guysJim Lahey wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 8:14 am If we don't win today it would eclipse Argentina 2015 as our biggest choke ever imo. I appreciate the mockering on all sides, but if you genuinely don’t believe that you haven’t been watching this 6N!Uncle fester wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 10:17 amThe reverse mockers in a match you have no skin in?Slick wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 8:17 amLess than 40 is a choke for you guysJim Lahey wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 8:14 am If we don't win today it would eclipse Argentina 2015 as our biggest choke ever imo. Not going to fly I'm afraid.

Never knew about that, thanks for posting.fishfoodie wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 10:29 am This match is also the 50th anniversary of the year that England showed up ! ... & got the well deserved ovation for doing so.

Ok, I don’t want to start a row re this but. England didn’t have to choose whether to play in Ireland in 1972 in the immediate aftermath of Bloody Sunday and the burning of the British Embassy. It was an awful time. Good line by Pullin though.fishfoodie wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 10:29 am This match is also the 50th anniversary of the year that England showed up ! ... & got the well deserved ovation for doing so.

I don't think anyone really blamed the Welsh, or Scottish teams; they were caught in a maelstrom, & had to make a tough decision.GogLais wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 11:32 amOk, I don’t want to start a row re this but.
