Wembley's capacity has been reduced to 22,500 for group fixtures at Euro 2020, but that is set to be expanded
to 45,000 - around 50% of full capacity - for two knockout games in the last 16 before the semi-finals on
6 and 7 July and final on 11 July.
..........and don't forget the 2,500 "VIP's" and "guests" of UEfA who will be allowed into the country from all over Europe without having to quarantine or isolate for these matches

So we paid for Johnson to have an affair, Hancock to have an affair. How many affairs are we going to be paying for?

Where's the Tax Payers Alliance? I'd like to make a complaint!

He could hardly do otherwise, but a chief scientist (Ferguson?) was sacked or forced to step down for the same IIRC
Health Secretary Matt Hancock admits breaking social distance rules with aide

Health Secretary Matt Hancock has admitted breaking social distancing rules after pictures of him kissing an aide were published in a newspaper. He said he had "let people down" after photos emerged of him with Gina Coladangelo - whom he appointed - and was "very sorry".

Labour urged the PM to sack Mr Hancock, calling his position "untenable".

But the health secretary said would stay "focused" on dealing with the pandemic.

Yes the story should be her getting the job in the first place. Quite handy for the Tories to pin her getting on the job on him wanting to get a leg over and not the rampant and far reaching get friends into jobs and money they have going on.

On another point - whoever leaked CCTV from inside a govt building should be getting into a lot of trouble no?

This, frankly, is incredibly small beer compared to the corruption he's been involved in with contracts for donors/family plus general incompetence, but it's a useful pretext to get rid of him if Boris so chooses. The irony of that cunt expelling this cunt from the Cabinet for philandering (sorry "breaching social distancing rules") though...

If they are caught, most likely it will be one of the min wage security staff who are contracted to cover most HMG buildings in Whitehall, good luck with finding out who that is.

I think it’s highly doubtful that there will be CCTV in a Minister’s office, as this would surely be a significant security risk. In which case, the footage may have come from a camera that has been set up with the express purpose of exposing him.

That does not look like it was taken in an office, its a common hallway which will be covered by CCTV

The Sun claims the images are from his office:
He is seen in his distinctive ninth-floor office inside the sprawling Department of Health building, which is a stone’s throw from the Houses of Parliament.

During the pandemic, the office has provided the backdrop to his Zoom appearances on TV — including the Andrew Marr Show.

Mr Hancock is seen checking the corridor is clear before closing the door and then leaning on it to ensure he cannot be disturbed.

i will lay good money on the fact that it is not in his personal office, it may be in his private office where all the admin support staff sit. The fact that the camera is focused on the door makes me fairly certain that it is not in a personal office space. In government buildings entranceways like doors and common passageways are always covered by CCTV with no exceptions that i have ever been aware of.

Boris Johnson's official spokesman says the prime minister has accepted Health Secretary Matt Hancock’s apology after he was photographed kissing an aide, and considers the matter closed.
What else to be expected? Might get a private talking to - but only for the carelessness of being caught on camera.

This presumably will now have Ferguson, hot footing, his way to his lawyers; to lodge a case for unfair dismissal; now that the Bumblecunt has re-written the rules.

Since when is a manager screwing an employee a; "personal matter" ?

Every company I've ever worked in; it was a dismissal offense; & in my last one; it cost the CEO his job; & that was a Fortune 100 company.

And all of that is without asking if serious misconduct was what got the employee hired for the job.

Neil Ferguson wasn’t then and isn’t now a Government employee. He’s a professor at Imperial College, where he continues to work on modelling the pandemic. He stood down as a member of SAGE, after his affair was made public, but I think continues as a member of some it’s sub-groups. He and his team continue to advise the Government on the pandemic.

He’s not been sacked from anything, so I doubt he could sustain much of a case for wrongful dismissal.

So the man is 'hopeless' at his job (the Prime Minister's word), is recorded as lying in public office, used his position at a time of a pandemic to hand out contracts to companies in which he and/or his relatives had shares and made significant personal profits, and now he has promoted an old uni-friend to a well-paying position in his department, using the work environment to cheat on his wife with this person and has broken his own laws as Health Minister on social distancing.
That in a year in which over 128,000 of countrymen have died of the pandemic, thousands of people have been made redundant, businesses have had to close as they couldn't accommodate the lockdown closures/social distancing measures, and when hundreds of thousands (probably millions) of people weren't allowed to attend or hug at funerals, weddings etc.

If 'sorry' covers all of those sins, who does he have to kill to lose his job?!
