When will the sharks be facing the kwas?
Kolbe makes a mug out of most people he runs at, vdM will be little different, I expect.
This is a genuine question as I honestly don't know, but how is Kolbe's defence? Big Duhan skittles big guys his own size for fun.
The propensity for dominant tackles in the modern game means a lot of craft of wee guys bringing down muckle great big guys using the weight discrepancy to their advantage has been lost.

They beat them in Kimberley, then lost to WP.average joe wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 12:59 pm When will the sharks be facing the kwas?

Cartman support Griquas.Sards wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 12:50 pmWith two thirds of the starting lineup at the boks the least you could have been is less critical...who do you support. The chick with a stick. And of course Cartman.
Definitely a case to pity these sad individuals who have nothing good to say about their fellow citizens. No loyalty or allegiance to their country of birth.
Looking forward to watching developments from here going forward. Especially as WP could not even beat the Griquas. A second division side in South Africa yet their supporters are the most vocal in having a dig at the Sharks.
Very sad reflection on their characters
I won't make excuses for the Sharks who have lost 10 starting players to the boks. The players that took the field did their best
Ar least we didn't lose to Griquas
That shameful scar will take awhile to heal
The Boks will have a forward at hand to help Kolbe.Tichtheid wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 1:00 pmKolbe makes a mug out of most people he runs at, vdM will be little different, I expect.

Springboks, Stormers and WP supporter.
His defence is actually surprisingly good against big guys. He has a classic technique.Tichtheid wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 1:00 pmKolbe makes a mug out of most people he runs at, vdM will be little different, I expect.

Duhan is just a big guy. IMO he is being overrated currently due to tries scored in the 6N.
He should laugh at WP ratherOomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 1:07 pmCartman support Griquas.
But it kinda explains his bitterness. Are Griquas supposed to be a decent side 9r what? Haven't really noticed them this year. But having lost to a depleted Sharks side at full strength

Give credit where its due.
Vok me but you guys have become arrogant.
When last have you seen the 1st choice boks as a team
What I have seen is 2 different BILs sides and I am like...." yoh..."
I have never seen a better drilled or more skillful side in a very very long time. I bet the ABs are glad they dodged this bullet

Because you guys are so bitchy and sensitive. Its more fun to laugh at you.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 1:41 pmWhy should he laugh at WP? The Sharks are our bitches.
Besides that....how's this weather. I had a meeting for my wifes new shop this morning, then to the factory to check on what's going on then went home and got into bed
The stats showed he hardly has to tackle. 4 I think it was. Saw it on the BIL highlights reel. Not sure what he is like in Europe. I would have him at the Sharks in a heartbeat

Gatland should keep Duhan close to the lineouts. He can translate the calls.

I would prefer the fringe Sharks boks to be released to play this weekend so we can get a better feel
He was pretty much finished after Montpellier - no contract, his hip was knackered and he had nowhere to go. Edinburgh's coach Richard Cockerill had seen him in France and was impressed, so he offered him a deal. Unfortunately he failed his medical.
Cockerill was new to Edinburgh and he could ask the Scottish Rugby Union for a lot, he insisted on taking on van der Merwe and they got his hip fixed up.
He slowly got into the swing of things and looked pretty promising for us, then after a run of a few games he started steamrollering his way through loads of would-be tacklers, making metres and scoring for fun.
He carried that form into his first international games for Scotland in this year's 6N.
He left Edinburgh at the end of the season and I was gutted to be honest, yeah it's a short career that could be ended at any moment as he will know more than most, Edinburgh made him a decent offer, but we couldn't match what he will get in England.
He's not an all-rounder and he has parts of his game that could be improved upon, but the parts he is good at... he is fucking brilliant at.
This! Embra, SRU and Cockerill saved his career and made him into the player he is today. OK his defensive positioning can be a bit dodgy at times and I can't remember seeing him kick a ball but I have seen him steam roller opposition's for fun, score tries from impossible positions and scare the shit out of defences. He is a machine. Him and Adams should be the Lions wings.Tichtheid wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 3:15 pm

Ox Nche
And Nkosi
Cant see him getting picked above LRZ and Adams personally
I agree he is great on attack and he does things other wings can't, like clear out rucks but he was exposed a few times on defence in the Six Nations
I'm sure he'll get better though

They will play next week Wednesday for SAA plus a lot of Sharks chicken runners from SaleSards wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 3:07 pmI would prefer the fringe Sharks boks to be released to play this weekend so we can get a better feel
Be good if Anthony Watson gets a chance to stake his claim before being written off altogether
LRZ isn’t close to being in the test team IMO. He has a good chance of being a top player but I just don’t see it at the moment.
I also can’t see Adams and IrnDu on the wings unfortunately. Adams must be a shoo in now but they will pick someone better under the high ball on the other wing - Williams or Watson
All the money you made will never buy back your soul
His defense has come on in leaps and bounds. I guess tackling big Fijian wingers in the Top14 week in and week out will do that.Tichtheid wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 1:00 pm This is a genuine question as I honestly don't know, but how is Kolbe's defence? But at the end of the day he is still a little man, so he does take a bump now and again. He seems aware of his limitations and doesn’t try to make dominant tackles. Just either trip up his opponent by getting between their legs or, if there is space, use their momentum against them, or just hold the opponent up long enough for a sweeping loose forward to gang tackle.

Jake White scout the has beens at the Bulls.
You have to understand that we have never seen that starting side for the Sharks. Take 10 starting players put of a side and there is scrambling to put a side together. I expect a tougher match
Exactly. I felt we left a few tries out there.
Perhaps now that the nerves are gone, expectations are low and they know what is going to come at them, they might actually have a better change this time.
