What?

That was a great game for the neutral to watch. Albeit a neutral who wanted Wales to lose.

C'mon. The SA physicality often leaves refs with little option. Not good for the game, but he was just applying the laws as they stand.

The ref was top class. The Springbokke need to play more running rugby. Damian Willemse was vokking tops tonight. We need Deon Fourie today.

Utter bollox. How has Fra been remotely niggly over the last few years? If anything, their problem is being too quiet. Esp when dealing with refs.

Like I said. Best ref in world rugby for me. And whilst the Irish ref (is it Murphy?) gets stuff wrong, I like how he's very clear and takes no sh*t either.

I'd suggest the only prick is you if you think the ref was anything other than excellent. Maybe some Welsh players need to take long hard looks in the mirror for some dreadful discipline.

Robbed?

Architects of own downfall. Too many thickos on the park on both sides but, in the end, Wales had the ones who acted when it mattered most.
But pray do tell why any of the yellows did not merit yellow?

In the first half their kicking game was more accurate than the Boks’ and they had an excellent mail defense. They obviously put a lot of effort into it and the preparation was evident.

Discipline was a massive problem though. As critical as I am of the Boks’ performance it’s really difficult to generate momentum against a team that’s willing to be as cynical in the red zone as Wales was today.

We had a similar bad outing against the Argies in 2021, where they would give away so many penalties but we just couldn’t convert them to points either due to bad goal kicking on the day, and a great maul defense and a 9 & 10 partnership that just couldn’t get anything right on the day.

This match had a similar feeling to it. Boks need to get better at being ruthless and daring in attack. Too many times they panic and try a kick when they run out of ideas.

They actually looked good with ball in hand in the second half. Le Roux had some masterful touches and really looked threatening creating opportunities.

I really hope this was Elton Jantjies’ last game in a Bok jersey. Faf better up his game too.
