I'd have Kinghorn in. That could be what they're looking at with bringing Healy into Edinburgh. Frees Kinghorn up to play at Fullback for Edinburgh. Still only 26. Seems to have been around for a longtime.

It's a tough call because Kinghorn hasn't played 15 in a long time and Wales were not very good so hard to really judge.

Does need a duscussion though.

Edinburgh have a top 2-3 in the world full back. For a club tram their back 3 and bench player is probably Graham, Van der Merwe, Boffeli and then Kinghorn.

He definitely isn't, if he was he'd not of spent most of his time on the wing the last 3 seasons.

Well done Scotland !

Sometimes; "Workmanlike", & "Efficient", sound like digs, but that was exactly what they needed to do tonight, & they delivered this evening, & finished their chances, & didn't offer the game up on a plate to Wales with stupid penalties or lapses.

Well done Scotland - awesome win. Lots of excellent performances and an inspired Russell leading the way - thought he controlled things superbly in the 2nd half and still addded that touch of flair to open up the defence.

Hard luck Wales - lots of endeavour but this is your worst side for many years.

Should be a proper cripple fight against us

I'd rate every starting full back in the Six Nations ahead of him. He is not even selected at full back for Argentina. When Mallia is fit he starts at fullback.

Madness.

Hogg at his peak, maybe, but it's been a while since we've seen that.
Steward's miles away from being in Boff's class at this stage of his career.
Beaudy might be a better rugby player than Boffelli, but he's not a better fullback. Jordy's not even part of the conversation.

FoS is controversial in Scotland for that reason. What other song are you talking about? Loch Lomond is the other song sung at the rugby and it has hee haw to do with the English.

Interesting to see vd Merwe get emotional about how Edinburgh and Scotland saved his career when he could not pass a medical, took a chance, helped him to heal and develop into the player he is now. And how much he owes Scotland as a result.

Credit where it's due, Richard Cockerill was a big player in that set of circumstances.

Well, Loch Lomond is about a Scottish soldier dying in England during one of the Jacobite rebellions, I’m fairly sure. So you could argue there’s a connection there, although a tenuous one.

I see Scotland meet Ireland in the last round...

that must feel like a final for Ireland. Uncharted territory and probably a bridge too far. Making it through a semi first would be a sensible goal.

Fair enough on FOS. Makes sense people would question it. Loch Lomond I'm fairly sure is about two soldiers fighting in a battle in England. One dies and takes the low road, the other lives and takes the high road back to his homeland.

The lyrics you’re probably referring to are often mis-heard/sung, they are “… we can still rise now and be THE nation again, that stood against him…”

Nothing about being A nation again because we are already.
