The Springboks box kicks is as shite as their WC song. We won't get to the quater finals with this RasNaber kak. I'll rather watch netball.

Terrible game. Horrible game plan. Too many unforced errors. As bad as I’ve seen them play in quite a while.
Never felt like the Boks were going to lose.
Scrum went well, maul went well. Eben's try was well worked, showed planning to have him placed on the wing and lurking. Libbok had an odd match, good with the boot, but very indecisive ball in hand, running sideways one way then the other way. Faf MotM easily, reads the game amazingly well, plays to the ball, he's like a miniature Schalk Burger.
My fellow countrymen losing their shit need to pull themselves together, the Boks clearly took their foot off the peddle and decided to go for a defence and tackling practice. For us the main aspect of the sport is tackling. Every time the Boks needed to score they did. We're not the All Blacks that always try to win every match by 30+.
... I'm now on the edge of my seat waiting for Namibia v Pumas B.

Chief I think its time for you to hand in your passport.
As the lyrics in the Bok official RWC song say "we're taking load shedding with us to France, when the Boks land it's lights out".

They are stuck in between two game plans Ox. Today they tried to revert back to a kicking plan, but it was very poorly executed. I’m not going to jump into a river, but we should also be honest enough to call a spade a spade. Enough class and depth to correct today, but to make as if they played the game plan well is delusional.
The pack was potentially very close to first choice and destroyed them. The backline was experimental ...LoveOfTheGame wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 6:20 pmThey are stuck in between two game plans Ox. All going according to plan.

Wanted to bring up the Matera incident again. No ref whinging intended at all. Honestly, how can that not be a red card?? Someone mentioned it before, that is exactly how CJ Stander ended Lambies career. Nowadays this surely has to be a red card. Any other views on this?
I’m thinking sleep deprivation got to you.
Farcical. At the least it’s a yellow card, then the TMO reviews it over the next 10.boere wors wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 7:38 pm Wanted to bring up the Matera incident again. You can’t jump with your hip into a kicker’s head any more. Ref team today fucked up.

Torally agree with the last part. Imho it is so blatantly obvious that this has to be a red, that I can only scratch my head how the refs can fcuk this up so badlySandstorm wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 8:04 pmFarcical. Little brother lost 27-34 to Pumas B. Argies were picking from players that didn't make the top 48 man squad, Nam from what looks like most of their RWC team. Very close to a Southern African double today.
I'm sure you were all cheering on Alister Coetzee's men!
Our pack: demolishing them in the maul, scrum going forward on our ball and not going backward on theirs, our forwards made a load of turnovers, our forwards are going for long stretches defending our line and tackling them back over the advantage, our forwards are the ones running in the loose and making breaks/half breaks.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 7:21 pm Ourpack destroyed them? Not even close.
Now it was a bit of a mess what a backline with Libbok in the driving seat did with the ball the forwards won, but that's a different matter. Most of our best backline moves were all from the forwards too.

Do you have his contact info?
The real reason there was no card, was because it was 30 seconds into the match, the very first play. Ref pussied out because he didn't want the Pumas to play 80 minutes with 14 men at Ellis Park. If that same incident was 30 minutes into the match and not 30 seconds, the Argie is going off.
Brace was bad generally, some bad calls went our way. The most ridiculous was at the start of the second half (I think), the Boks were in possession and attacking, he stopped play for a Bok high tackle (when the Boks had the ball the entire time), one of the other refs must have told him he was fucking delusional, he then reverses it (there was no replay, so he maybe made more shit up to avoid the Ellis Park crowd turning on him) but now he's taken the Bok attack back and killed momentum.
He's ref for the Wales warmup.
