Refs had a poor match at scrum time. He has let Scotland off.

Agree with the 1st bit. Disagree with the second. Genge was constantly allowed to scrummage at an angle when he was on.

And now by Duhan.
Lucky boy the bunker stayed with yellow.
It's a yellow at most, almost certainly a yellow, but never a red.
I do agree but there's a risk officials will decide otherwise.
Don't give them the calls to make.

That was Robinson/Johnson levels of shiteness from England. All Scotland needed to do was wait, and then not fuck up the chances they had.

Exceptionally frustrating. Enjoy Scots.

VdM please fuck off. England offered little, same was true of Scotland outside of their wing.

Awww. You're taking this well.

I've made three comments about the breakdown the whole match.

We need to up our poaching game. Though it would help if the likes of daly and slade were dropped immediately.

You can't tip players beyond the horizontal and just drop or drive them into the ground.

Just want to say, fair play to Jamie George. Been a tough old week and played reasonably and fronted up for media etc.

Must have been a really hard 7-8 weeks and thoughts are with him and his family.

Absolute piss. Appreciated England's energy and previously unseen desire to attack, but in doing so they looked exactly like you'd expect from a team coached by Borthwick and Wigglesworth. And I'm sick of hearing about Felix Jones and the amount of time it took for SA to bed in their defence - the attitude is great but we're not SA and Slade, Daly, and co will continue to cough up try after try to any competent attack. It's currently looking like madness.

Negative impact off the bench but that was predictable after Ugo Moronye's comments at half time. Stuart bad, Spencer repeatedly made bad decisions, Fin Smith missed an easy enough kick and shelled one under little pressure, Martin made an excellent carry but immediately fucked it with that knock on from the kick off, etc. Feyi-Waboso looked good, mind.

Ford and Care both made far too many errors with their passing and generally it was pretty rank stuff compared to what you'd expect from a top tier club side, let alone international.

Scotland will be extremely happy with the result if not their own performance, as a team they didn't handle England's pace off the line particularly well. Still, with the disruption of the early HIA, and losing Tuipoloto at half time, it says a lot that it was a pretty comfortable win in the end.

After the Wales game it seemed clear to me England wouldn't win another game in this year's tournament.

Must say I didn't think he went beyond the horizontal (thought a clean parallel), but if it did by all means, happy for ref to be right

Holy shite Borthwick is dreadful.

His after match interview.

Just too many handling errors, young guys, …

He seems to suggest England’s only issue was that they were not safe enough.

What a complete loser !!

Watching that 1st try, I wonder if the knee on knee contact is what injured Tuipulotu.

It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

It was the young guys who were the better players, the supposedly experienced ones were the ones who stank the place out.

Agree with that. A problem is we have a very conservative coaching set up with players who mostly don't play that style of rugby so the coaching team are trying to coach the team a style they actually can't coach. It's a painful shitshow. Selecting Slade and Daly is insane and dropping Steward is bizarre if you are still going to kick and chase frequently.

You missed the bit where the guy who has been in charge of England for a six nations, world cup warmups, and an entire world cup campaign plus the time he's had them this year is suggesting the difference between the teams was that Scotland have been together a long time and England haven't.

This was England's 17th match under Borthwick. There are only six England head coaches in history that have been in charge for appreciably longer than that.
