Technicalities of the game let them down whereas the Naki were technically accurate all day.
One happy poster in the Naki here fellas. I am stoked with the shield coming home!
I suspect we will have to be happy with that for season, as I not sure we will have the firepower to win NPC, as I suspect we will lose at least 4 players from today's game for ABs and ABVXs for final week.

National Provincial Championship – quarterfinals
Friday, 7.05pm: Wellington v Counties Manukau; Sky Stadium, Wellington
Saturday, 2.05pm: Bay of Plenty v Hawke’s Bay; Tauranga Domain
Saturday, 7.05pm: Taranaki v Waikato; Yarrow Stadium, New Plymouth
Sunday, 2.05pm: Tasman v Canterbury; Lansdowne Park, Blenheim
Tasty finals aren't they?
Wellington after getting hiding from Counties a week or so back will be right up for it.
Taranaki vs Waikato, inter tribal warfare!
BOP vs Hawkes Bay, we see the battle of who is the Bay for the year!
And Tasman vs Crusaders battle of the Crusaders!!!
Love it!

Yep, Counties giving away too many turnovers early, but looking to come right. Capitalists ahead 19-7 at HT.Kiwias wrote: Fri Oct 11, 2024 6:48 am Lions start really strongly but Counties making a bit of a comeback just before halftime. Roigard looks really sharp.
Switched to a vpn and got the better link working again...

Not entirely sure I agree there. BOP will be way to good for the Hawkeye Guys and Tasman should be in at a canter against the Cantabs, who lets face it are rebuilding. About the only game that should be tasty is Taranaki vs Waikato, which for mine could go either way though I've pick the Naki on hometown advantage.Dan54 wrote: Tue Oct 08, 2024 7:09 pm Tasty finals aren't they?

Surprising lack of accuracy by Naki so far and that kick is a shocker.
Mooloos far more dangerous at the breakdown.

This has been an issue for me for quite a while now but I believe that the penalty advantage is far too generous. Teams can make 20+m with at least one line break, even getting over the line but held up, but the ref still gives advantage.
I would argue that a clean line break or a play that gets the ball carrier over the tryline should nullify the advantage.

I hear that. Always been in the camp that you make a clean break or kick the ball away, adv over.Kiwias wrote: Sat Oct 12, 2024 6:52 am This has been an issue for me for quite a while now but I believe that the penalty advantage is far too generous. Naki backrow invisible and I'd switch Perofeta in to FH. Jacomb having a nightmare.

I drink and I forget things.
I was getting really "upset" over some of the officials decisions last night. I was wondering if they had an agenda
:p
Anyway - anyone see why we think Oli Mathis could be the answer to one R H McCaw in a year or so?

QF4 between Tasman and Canterbury just about to kick off in Blenheim.
Predictably, Ethan Blackadder is injured yet again.
Shirley it's time for Razor to get over his infatuation with this perennial sick-note and give a more durable loosie a crack?
