To be fair he set out to wrestle a World Championship from a dominant Team/Driver pair, & he succeeded.

They'll just have to suck it up now that they've a team setup & car that only works for a driver that doesn't drive for them, & an aerodynamics guy that wants nothing to do with them any more, & they'll have a driver/car combination that is behind Sauber.

Max to Merc seems more likely by the day.

There's a lot of paddock gossip. Perhaps the clearest indication so far was George being so open about the logic of Merc chasing MV. Toto fucking about with contract talks doesn't help the gossip but he did say they were due an announcement to stop torturing their drivers with the speculation going around.

Fuckng funny if RB do lose him though, they're left with a shit car package going into new regs and question marks over the tech behind their power unit and their driver retention.

Meanwhile, Scott Mansell's done his regular weekly clip and discusses the tech behind McLaren's suspension advantage. It's quite an informative clip, worth a look...

What do you think of Scott Mansell?

I tend to think there's more than a hint of the grift about him.

50/50… I find some of his clips really informative and well balanced. I’m not at all interested in whatever he’s selling under the guise of specialist knowledge.
