Not remotely surprised. Israel the state might still be pretending that it isn't trying to "clear" the Palestinians off the land but the actions on the ground show that the people with the weapons are doing exactly that.
To paraphrase someone else…Israel has not held territory, it has cleared ground that has returned to Hamas, its dithered with regards to Rafah, it’s already demobilised a lot of its forces and it’s made no preparation, or indicated that is has a desire for occupying Gaza. Clearing the Palestinians from Gaza would indicate that Israel has some clear strategic goals, which alarmingly they don’t seem to have
Kill maim and more importantly punish and seek vengeance.
Revenge and punishment are clearly a goal.

Can't really blame them going all Old Testament with Bibi in control.

what has that to do with their lack of a clear strategy, or did you reply in error to my post?

Again with the blinkers while the west bank is being gradually annexed in recent times and the whole rest of the territory in the past century.

Ireland, Norway and Spain announce they recognise Palestine as a state:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/world-69047220

Not sure what to make of this, it's obviously provocative, but at the same time it seems to be an attempt to get Israel to stop being cunts and negotiate. Also interesting that Norway made a big deal about continual settler encroachment etc.

Israeli ambassadors from Dublin and Oslo have been instructed to return home. Spain hasn't fully aligned with the other two countries.

I think it would help if those 2 countries would also cry for the return of hostages but hey ho.

Terrorism pays.

Hamas carries out the largest massacre of Jews since the holocaust and Ireland rewards Hamas and Iran by recognising a Palestinian state.

I'm fairly sure the reason Palestine is getting support for statehood now is because Israel is turning the place to dust. Not because of the attacks in October.

Israel are making their own problems worse here.

Yes, as I said, Terrorism pays. Hamas and Iran sacrificed the people of Palestine, on purpose, cold and calculated - And people like you have fallen for it hook, line and sinker.

None of the liberals in the West call for the disbandment of Hamas and the return of the hostages. The war, the deaths and damage could have been over a long time ago.

Right. Hamas would have turned over all the hostages and thrown down their weapons because "the liberals in the West called for it..." You're a fucking idiot.

The point is, no one even asked for it, but here we are with the UN mourning the loss of a key funder of Hamas. Lines have been drawn, sides have been picked. Look whose fucking side your on.

On Tuesday, 21 May 2024, the UN Flag will be lowered to half-mast as a mark of respect for the passing of His Excellency Mr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. All offices and duty stations are encouraged to lower their flags on this occasion.
His Excellency was directly responsible for up to 5000 murders and is quoted as saying that he regarded the killings as "one of the proud achievements of the system"

Sounds like one thing Bibi would say but try multiplying the figure 5 fold and add in mostly women and children.

Those deaths are the responsibility of Hamas and Iran. When are you going to realise the people of Gaza were sacrificed on purpose. It's as close to evil as you can get.

Israel has the right to seek revenge on every single member of Hamas as if they don't, Hamas will only eventually repeat their actions of the 7th.

The Hamas charter has little to do with politics and a lot to do with Religion and Hatred.

And there's some magic way that they will identify and murder everyone that is a Hamas operative, or supporters too, or maybe just been on their payroll (as a government employee). By an even more magical magic these actions will not result in entire new generations of people that want revenge against Israel.

The only solution to stop terrorist attacks from Gaza is to annihilate them all, but hold on what about the West Bank they might also harbour a grudge, best annihilate them too. Lebanon? Hmm, yep, they need annihilation too to be on the safe side...

I think you under estimate Mossad. If they didn't have most of the names before hand, it's almost sure as shit they do now.

The Israeli way of thinking is that if an entire new generation of people want "revenge" then the precedent is set as to what will happen to them if they attack Israel.

Against a context of for how many Palestinian deaths and how many illegally detained and abused Palestinians ?
Btw I see both sides as religious zealots and murderers and abusers.
I also see exactly why many Israelis including the leadership want to see the Palestians punished, brutalised, starved and their infrastructures including water, electricity, roads, hospitals destroyed.

Countries don't act in a normal fashion when their enemies and supporters have sworn to wipe them from the face of the world. They have little choice in this. As previously mentioned, to only have killed 25K plus civilians in the most populated area in the world is actually remarkable. There would be millions dead if the shoe was on the other foot.

Hamas see the whole area as a Holy Land and will not stop, ever, until the Jews have gone.

Revenge it's particularly laudable, but understandable if Israel where taking out on Hamas and not the population of Gaza. Hamas crimes are not the crimes of those just trying to live and get by in difficult circumstances (pre-OCT let alone after). The massacring, starvation of civilians and their infrastructure isn't revenge on Hamas as you are correct in my view that Hamas doesn't care about them either. Someone has to care if we believe in the concept of humanity and justice.

How is that relevant, and if it is Israel that are doing Hamas's biding. They have been played, they ones caring our the death and destruction in Gaza, whether duped into it or not.

I don't know how to fix them, editing seems to post them twice. I'm not awaiting with baited breath for your response though, it will likely just be more of the same, so no worries.

Unbelievably evil confessions from Hamas soldiers involved in the 7th published today.

Confirms my thoughts that it was so evil that it could only evoke one response from Israel.

Many people in the West support Hamas.

Some countries have even rewarded this evil by recognising the state that produced them.

I can’t even comment any more, police and idf colluding with settlers, more destruction, more abuse of prisoners, more death, more trauma. This somehow will lead to peace for Israel?
