Doddie Weir's knee says you don't know what you're talking about!
Just saw a video of that for the first time. The offender should have been given a lifetime ban, absolutely disgraceful act.
If you see the clip of how well Doddie reacts when the Doc tells him tour over it really speaks volumes of the man. I have the good fortune of meeting him a couple of times since his diagnosis and as recently as 2 years ago when the disease had really started to grip him he still signed books and spoke to people like they were a long lost friend. A nicer man as you could meet.
I think that is part of the reason it still infuriates me how callous an act that was.
The first time I met him was the Scotland v All blacks game in 2018 I think. I was luckily enough to be in the presidents suite that day. I met some of the Scotland team and NZ team, all gave me a picture and a good chat with some (SBW and Russell) but my prized memory of that night was the 15min we spent talking to Doddie Weir over a beer and his glass of wine.
Will have a look for that clip over the weekend. Seems a gentleman and makes it worse that it happened to one of the good guys.

5.03 into this video. It is just a small interaction but given he has just had a his dream of being on a Lions tour abruptly halted he takes it better than I would have.

If this is about Faf you are either blind or lying. End of.
charming.
Yellow card, nothing more. Excellent officiating, let's move on.
Out of interest... what would have made it a red for you?
The fact it was no arms, high andFaf made contact with his head on navidis as evidenced by Faf holding his head after the collision (oh and perfectly clear pictures of his head hitting Navidis)

Faf should get red for box kicking.

My recollection is that they really obviously clashed heads? And Faf hurt himself in the process?
IS THE CORRECT ANSWER!!
Showing it on the screen with Jonkers saying "no obvious contact to the head"
every human with at least one functioning eye "WTF??"
Re: The Springboks vs British & Irish Lions 1st Test Thread
That was the correct call. Very close to being otherwise, but correct in the end.
No it wasn't
Owens says it was.
He was just confused when there was mention of head!!

Thank goodness we are so much more disciplined under Rassie. It would be tragic if the tour of a top BILs player was ended by a tackle on the edge of being tip tackle. Like in New Zealand.

Reggie Corrigan was deliberately injured in a tour game in SA with Ireland. Knee into the back that broke the little bones on the side of his vertebrae.
Remember Steve Walsh's carry on in 2005?
Tour games have a long and not distinguished history of biased hometown refs.

Due to lack of game time, I expect the Lions to beat the Boks, just, and then lose the next 2.

You know they are afraid when they start relying on red cards and even hoping for them to even up the contest. I'm personally hoping Faf has a Ali G style flag monokini to wear in the change room after we've won the series 3-0. Bleating about Doddie Weir (great bloke and RIP) but forgetting about the thugs they sent in 1974. Also forgetting about the malicious thuggery of Rona o' Gara that almost cost Fourie du Preez his life and guaranteed a glorious series win for the Boks.

I think the Lions may just win this one in part due to the Boks being rusty, but then the next two tests should be comfortable wins for the Lions. Marcus Smith with 4 assists in the 3rd test.

This is what my gut is telling me as well.
We are going to get caught flat footed today; bamboozled with some trick plays and lack of match fitness is going to be apparent in the second half.
But we’ll come back strong next week, take that game and also the decider.

If I remember correctly from his book, Doddie would prefer it was never mentioned again, he'd rather Bosman was forgotten about.
Not that it’s any consolation, but that is pretty much the case. Wouldn’t recognize Bosman in real life or a picture. In fact, it took me a while to remember what position he played.

Thats probably the most likely prediction here so far
