Me too. Wandavision had it's moments but overall was decent but not amazing. S1 of Madalorian was really good, this one had too many perfect timing lucky saves and a bit too much filler. The overall story was dragged out.Ymx wrote: Mon Apr 05, 2021 8:36 pm I’m with Bungle on this one.
And don’t get me started on Wandavision.

I’ll just say that the end was unexpected and worth the wait.
I quit after 3 episodes. 1st is amazing, but it gets very dull very quickly.Marylandolorian wrote: Tue Apr 06, 2021 3:12 pmI’ll just say that the end was unexpected and worth the wait.

Have very little time for star wars geekdom but thoroughly enjoyed The Mandalorian as a whole. Some weak episodes but tied together nicely.Mr Bungle wrote: Mon Apr 05, 2021 12:32 amThe season is actually mostly shite. The Littlest Hobo set in the Star Wars universe.
A lack of awareness of the Star Wars universe is required to enjoy the Mandalorian in full, I imagine.Uncle fester wrote: Sat Apr 10, 2021 7:34 pmHave very little time for star wars geekdom but thoroughly enjoyed The Mandalorian as a whole. Some weak episodes but tied together nicely.
I would qualify, I haven’t seen any Star Wars filmsMr Bungle wrote: Sat Apr 10, 2021 9:31 pmA lack of awareness of the Star Wars universe is required to enjoy the Mandalorian in full, I imagine.Uncle fester wrote: Sat Apr 10, 2021 7:34 pmHave very little time for star wars geekdom but thoroughly enjoyed The Mandalorian as a whole. Down to two left, although it is quite compelling, the idea that it would be legal for a judge to sit on a murder trial of the man who is accused of killing the man that was allegedly driving the judges car when he hit and killed the brother of the accused is fanciful...Marylandolorian wrote: Tue Apr 06, 2021 3:12 pmI’ll just say that the end was unexpected and worth the wait.

If you enjoy Victorian fantasy like Penny Dreadful, a new HBO show just started this week “ the Nevers” .
yep made by the guy who made The Avengers and serial womanizer, Joss WhedonMarylandolorian wrote: Tue Apr 13, 2021 5:23 pm If you enjoy Victorian fantasy like Penny Dreadful, a new HBO show just started this week “ the Nevers” .

I’ll just say that the end was unexpected and worth the wait.. But you are right they pushed the envelope to the max.
Spoiler
Show
The only way they could have had a better ending is if Eugene's bullet had someone gone through The judge his son and all the bxtters barring the girls heads!!
Aye there was one too many leaps of faith for me in the end.Openside wrote: Mon Apr 12, 2021 10:27 pmDown to two left, although it is quite compelling, the idea that it would be legal for a judge to sit on a murder trial of the man who is accused of killing the man that was allegedly driving the judges car when he hit and killed the brother of the accused is fanciful...Marylandolorian wrote: Tue Apr 06, 2021 3:12 pmI’ll just say that the end was unexpected and worth the wait.Openside wrote: Tue Apr 06, 2021 2:56 pm

La Revolution on Netflix. A not-quite-zombies re-telling of the French Revolution.
Only a couple of episodes in so far, but it's pretty good. Well acted, an intriguing premise and some decent potential avenues for the story to progress. Plus lovely French girls...

Brilliant viewing and strong message there.BnM wrote: Wed Apr 21, 2021 9:17 pm My Octopus Teacher on netflix, worth it even without the story. Needs viewing on a telly not tablet or phone.
You have to constantly fight off threats and adapt in life, but it’s your kids that kill you in the end.

Very enjoyable. Gets increasingly hokey as the season goes on though. Worth watching it for Marilou Aussilloux alone.sockwithaticket wrote: Sun Apr 25, 2021 7:28 pm La Revolution on Netflix. A not-quite-zombies re-telling of the French Revolution.

We're binging all the old seasons to catch up. Up to season 4 now.
Some of the premises are properly daft but it's great fun watching Adrian Dunbar do Ted.
Me and the mrs have only seen the first series and thought it was boring, does it do a Riker's beard at some point?Uncle fester wrote: Mon Apr 26, 2021 12:58 pmWe're binging all the old seasons to catch up. Up to season 4 now.

I just finished Series 4
Watch S5 at double speed. It’s the weakest.
S6 is mint.
Surprised Line of Duty is so popular. Have tried watching it, but it's plot lines and twists are just ridiculous... give me something like Unforgotten every day of the week.. classy crime show which doesn't need farcical plots to create suspense...
Apparently was on the Paramount Channel... which is connected to Channel 5 somehow.. and can be watched on My5...Ymx wrote: Mon Apr 26, 2021 8:05 pm Anyone know how to watch Yellowstone in the UK.
Amazon prime has it but needs paying for.

I can't work out how to watch it if not live though....

Yep. Watch it with the Mrs, who loves it. I find it all a bit silly.Grandpa wrote: Wed Apr 28, 2021 8:55 am Surprised Line of Duty is so popular.
