Then there's the issue of the ABs needing to assemble in Auckland on Sunday to fly to Perth...with Auckland being in lockdown till at least Tuesday. The third Bledisloe Cup test is in major doubt after the West Australian government introduced fresh quarantine rules for arriving New Zealanders in the wake of this country’s level 4 lockdown.
West Australian Premier Mark McGowan said on Wednesday he could not say if the game between the All Blacks and Wallabies would go ahead, as scheduled on August 28 in Perth.
His government is introducing a “low risk’ measure, effective from 4pm Wednesday NZT, which means New Zealanders arriving in Perth will have to quarantine for two weeks.
Whether the All Blacks get an exemption from that requirement – as the Wallabies did when they played the first two tests of the series in Auckland this month – remains to be seen.

Sounds like Bled III is in serious doubt.
No way this game is going ahead.Gumboot wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 3:13 am Sounds like Bled III is in serious doubt.

So they will share logpoints? Bonus for the Wallabies
It is the only way that the Wallabies will get any points against this All Black team.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 4:32 am So they will share logpoints? Bonus for the Wallabies

Look like Brisbane is now the likely venue.Chilli wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 5:33 amIt is the only way that the Wallabies will get any points against this All Black team.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 4:32 am So they will share logpoints? Bonus for the Wallabies
Agreed. I really don't get how the kiwi posters have to build up the wallabies before every test, only to cruise to easy victories every single time.Chilli wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 5:33 amIt is the only way that the Wallabies will get any points against this All Black team.OomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 4:32 am So they will share logpoints? Oh dear, you think the refs were bad for the BIL series? Wait till you see Dickson, he is several magnitudes more shit than anything you have yet seen..Rassie will need a whole box of pens for this one.
quite. Hope Carley is one of the AR's or TMOASMO wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 8:03 amOh dear, you think the refs were bad for the BIL series? Wait till you see Dickson, he is several magnitudes more shit than anything you have yet seen..Rassie will need a whole box of pens for this one.

Four double-headers are tentatively being planned for Paris, London, Dublin and Cardiff.
Crikey.. sounds serious... good on them if they pull it off...assfly wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 9:41 am https://www.rugbypass.com/news/rugby-ch ... -outbreak/

Why not keep it in 1 city with 1 bubble? Minimize the risk.Grandpa wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 9:53 amCrikey.. sounds serious... good on them if they pull it off...assfly wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 9:41 am https://www.rugbypass.com/news/rugby-ch ... -outbreak/

Well if they can play all the matches as hoped in Australia that's great too.. if not... then a city in Europe is the next best thing...
Lions tour at least got to be played...
As far as I am aware
You'll get paying fans in Europe instead of empty stadiums in SA.
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?
Early morning braai with beers could be good
Oz / NZ -> Singapore -> UK is no quarantine apparently. Would SA / RGs have to quarantine in Australia on arrival?
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?
That's kind of what I was thinking. I can't believe that they wouldn't have had to quarantine in Oz, so what's the difference?
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?
Both South Africa and surprise venues in Europe have been reportedly touted as alternative options for hosting Rugby Championship matches following renewed Covid-19 concerns in Australia and New Zealand.

Well I hope that 100th test between the Springboks and the All Blacks will be in either SA or NZ.

Let's hope it's sorted out
But then I read this...
The third Bledisloe Cup clash will not take place as planned, with New Zealand Rugby deciding against sending the All Blacks to Perth to face the Wallabies, while also confirming they will not host the Boks this year.
The Kiwis know that they are not the quality we expect from them and have decided to rather avoid the Springboks. Easy way out....a bit disappointing for a once proud nation that does silly war dances to somehow emasculate themselves......
Let us give credit where it is due. The BILs came, gave their all and although the whole series was a bit of a letdown off the field at least they had the guts to face the Springboks.
It's a bit of a disgrace really.Sards wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 6:47 amThe Kiwis know that they are not the quality we expect from them and have decided to rather avoid the Springboks.
