Sounds like Bled III is in serious doubt.
The third Bledisloe Cup test is in major doubt after the West Australian government introduced fresh quarantine rules for arriving New Zealanders in the wake of this country’s level 4 lockdown.

West Australian Premier Mark McGowan said on Wednesday he could not say if the game between the All Blacks and Wallabies would go ahead, as scheduled on August 28 in Perth.

His government is introducing a “low risk’ measure, effective from 4pm Wednesday NZT, which means New Zealanders arriving in Perth will have to quarantine for two weeks.

Whether the All Blacks get an exemption from that requirement – as the Wallabies did when they played the first two tests of the series in Auckland this month – remains to be seen.

Then there's the issue of the ABs needing to assemble in Auckland on Sunday to fly to Perth...with Auckland being in lockdown till at least Tuesday. :problem:

It is the only way that the Wallabies will get any points against this All Black team.

Look like Brisbane is now the likely venue.

Agreed. I really don't get how the kiwi posters have to build up the wallabies before every test, only to cruise to easy victories every single time.

Great idea if you ask me. Let's hope it happens.

But I also remember hearing similar reports of the Lions tour being played in the UK, so let's see what happens!

Why not keep it in 1 city with 1 bubble? Minimize the risk.

Well if they can play all the matches as hoped in Australia that's great too.. if not... then a city in Europe is the next best thing...

Lions tour at least got to be played...

Move the whole shooting match to Sun City.
Each team has its own hotel.
There are plenty of fields for training.
Play double headers at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium.

You'll get paying fans in Europe instead of empty stadiums in SA.

I'll be so happy if it's Europe and I'll be sad.

It makes it a great viewing time for all of us in the real world's timeline.

It also means getting pissed up several times which you can side step for 9am games in New Zillund.

Is that just for flying from SA? As NZ and Australia can fly in without quarantine...

Oz / NZ -> Singapore -> UK is no quarantine apparently. Would SA / RGs have to quarantine in Australia on arrival?

Can't seem to find out about SA. But if they are, then perhaps a 10 day stint in Jersey like what the Lions did upon their return is possible.

That's kind of what I was thinking. I can't believe that they wouldn't have had to quarantine in Oz, so what's the difference?

Not much from an SA point of view, but I'm sure they'd prefer the UK to Aus becuase of the timezones and fans.

Both South Africa and surprise venues in Europe have been reportedly touted as alternative options for hosting Rugby Championship matches following renewed Covid-19 concerns in Australia and New Zealand.

Let's hope it's sorted out

But then I read this...
The third Bledisloe Cup clash will not take place as planned, with New Zealand Rugby deciding against sending the All Blacks to Perth to face the Wallabies, while also confirming they will not host the Boks this year.

I know the kiwi's and Aussies like to thrown mud at SARU, but how shit are they when they can't organise a game between each other? They played just last week. Piss poor organising.

The Kiwis know that they are not the quality we expect from them and have decided to rather avoid the Springboks. Easy way out....a bit disappointing for a once proud nation that does silly war dances to somehow emasculate themselves......

Let us give credit where it is due. The BILs came, gave their all and although the whole series was a bit of a letdown off the field at least they had the guts to face the Springboks.
